Position Overview

Shaw Industries is looking for a Process Engineer for Plant L3 in Adairsville, GA. The Process Engineer will generate and maintain data regarding inventory, production, and process improvement within the Shaw Distribution Plants. This will include leading teams across the operational area to improve process controls and day to day operations.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot daily process issues within current systems

• Responsible for maintaining adequate efficiency and off quality performance of assigned processes.

• Control process specifications for assigned processes.

• Organize and execute assigned projects while maintaining records on the projects and develop training documentation for new and existing processes.

• Lead Technical Development with trials and projects to further automate distribution.

• Coordinate and manage preventative maintenance program.

• Manage/work with OEM vendors on machine related improvements as well as being responsible for vendor assessment.

• Provide effective and timely reports for the facility and corporate management including maintaining downtime Pareto charts.

• Organize and execute assigned projects while maintaining records on the projects and develop training documentation for new and existing processes.

• Meet with management teams to ensure progress towards facility goals.

• Work with plant engineering, manufacturing and financial systems to determine where process improvements can be made.

• Participate on the Reliability Performance Team.

• Participate with the EIT (Equipment Improvement Team) and BEC (Basic Equipment Team).

• Lead and participate in 5S events.

• Participate with the Ergonomics Team

Qualifications

• 4 yr degree required

• Distribution experience preferred

• Understanding of computer software such as Microsoft Excel, Word, Minitab, etc.

• Strong quantitative & communication skills (Oral, written, & presentation to individuals & groups).

• Data Analytics preferred
