Process Engineer, Senior

Process Engineer responsible for setting up, monitoring, and improving the manufacturing processes at Macom's Nashua, NH site. In this role, you will contribute to key performance indicators such as quality, reliability, cost, yield, process stability/capability, productivity and safety throughout the manufacturing process. This role is for an experienced professional who desires to work in a fast-paced technology facility and is able to mentor junior-level professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversees key processes and updates procedures as needed.

  • Presents problem statements and executes key elements of continuous improvement projects.

  • Works with Quality and Facilities to establish preventive maintenance plans on equipment.

  • Monitors process outputs using statistical process controls (SPC) and makes preventive measures against process drift.

  • Provides critical information to customers and customer-facing stakeholders, as needed.

  • Maintains OCAP procedures and oversees their execution.

  • Recommends capital expenditures and contributes to return on investment analyses.

Key Competencies & Skills required:

  • Experience in working in a high-tech manufacturing environment (semiconductors, aerospace, medical, or similar), with an understanding of PCB and module level manufacturing equipment capabilities.

  • Experience analyzing manufacturing processes for continuous improvement and quality improvement opportunities.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect data and make data driven decisions.

  • Successfully implemented process monitoring KPI's cush s statistical process controls.

  • Experience in working in New Product Introduction environments and transitioning designs to production.

  • Strong presentation skills - this individual must be able to draw conclusions and present their recommendations to various audiences.

  • Deep understanding of Military standards used in semiconductor manufacturing (Mil-883, 750, IPC-610, etc.).

  • Receptive to change, learning new things, and evolving in dynamic environment.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Engineering/Science degree from an accredited college and 10 years of experience that demonstrates career growth.

  • Experience working in an AS9100 environment is strongly desired. Minimally has ISO 9001 experience.

  • Has demonstrated success in rapidly changing, growing environments.

  • Able to interpret engineering drawings and translate the information into a manufacturing process.

  • Ability to maintain aggressive deadlines.

  • Automation/programming implementation.

  • Lean/six-sigma manufacturing knowledge is preferred.
