POSITION TITLE:

PROCESS ENGINEER

LOCATION:

Middletown, DE

DESCRIPTION: The Process Engineer is responsible for evaluating existing processes and making recommendations for the configuration of manufacturing systems and processes to reduce cost, improve efficiencies, sustainability and develop best practices within the production process. This position has no direct reports.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Act as a safety role model at all times.

• Evaluate and improve on processes in manufacturing systems.

• Maintain reliable and safe manufacturing systems while improving production rates, efficiencies, yields, costs, and changeovers.

• Develop innovative and creative solutions for legacy opportunities

• Improve process capability and production volume while maintaining and improving quality standards.

• Design and execute DOE/sampling plans, including preparing samples for study, performing material testing, communicating results

• Develop and implement systems that optimize all phases of production process.

• Participate and act as subject matter expert during incident investigations. Define and implement corrective actions as needed

• Ensure projects and other commitments are completed in a timely manner

• Additional duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

• BS in Engineering required (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical preferred)

• 2+ years in a manufacturing environment

• Basic understanding of mechanical equipment operation & troubleshooting

• Data analysis such as Six-Sigma

• Strong communication skills

• Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment
