SUMMARY

Review and restructure design engineering B.O.M. through operation coding and parts grouping to produce assembly B.O.M. to support several production areas and facilities. Develop work instructions and preliminary line balance of new products through assembly documentation. Improve and maintain current documentation to support the assembly plants.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1.Identify process improvements in the areas of safety, quality, and productivity

2.Write assembly work processes and man assignment procedures

3.Determine appropriate assembly fixtures

4.Review and select required special tooling and equipment

5.Establish manpower requirements, line and sub-assembly balancing data, and expectancy time performances

6.Process documentation and control of prototype assembly issues

7.Assist in plant layout and work station design

8.Exhibit a high level of computer literacy

9.Plan, schedule and prioritize work to meet established deadlines



  1. Determine/improve processes to meet production levels

  2. Provide technical support and assist as a resource person in assigned area

  3. Perform stop watch time studies

  4. Utilize Lean/Six Sigma principles and methodologies in making process improvements


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including ability to root cause and troubleshoot automated equipment.

  • Capability to work both independently and with multiple functional teams.

  • Provide plant floor production support as required.

  • Proficiency with Autocad or Autocad E software.

  • Experience developing and maintaining SQL databases.

  • Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio C#, and Visual Basic

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project.
