Process Engineer

Our client, a privately-owned US Chemical Company, has an excellent opportunity in its Crosby, Texas plant (Northeast Houston/Humble area) for a Senior Process/Production Engineer. This expanding facility is a state-of-the-art custom production & toll manufacturing plant.

With around 100 employees, it's a close knit, family-oriented organization where the employees have ready access to site leadership and even the CEO, with excellent opportunities for recognition and advancement. About the Position: In this key role, you will provide technical oversight to a multiple-reactor operating unit and process engineering expertise to support production requirements, new product development, and capital improvement projects.

This includes troubleshooting production-related issues, identifying opportunities to lower production costs and reduce batch cycle times, and evaluating & improving plant processing capabilities and limitations. You will also work with the Maintenance team to resolve equipment issues, provide PSM, PHA, MOC, and PSSR support, and evaluate projects for technical and economic feasibility. In addition, you'll work with customers and Sales to resolve custom/toll manufacturing issues, identify opportunities for improvement, and work with customers to ensure the successful startup and operation of new and ongoing projects.

Background Required:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical Engineering preferred) 15-20 years of process/production engineering experience in PSM-covered chemical manufacturing operations Experience in tolling operations and/or pilot plants is preferred, including distillation, filtration, solids handling, flares, oxidizers, and/or wastewater treatment operations Strong chemistry knowledge involving alkoxylation, maleation, esterification, and/or amine-acid reactions is a plus Please note: Candidates must be lawfully authorized to work in the United States, on a permanent basis, for any employer.
