HERE'S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Process Optimization Keeping the plant production processes (crackers and chips) efficient is your main objective, working through a lens of improving process flow, reduced inventory costs, area loss reduction, and implementing efficiency-promoting practices. Plan on partnering with other key functions on executing projects including R&D, the Manufacturing Reliability team, the Continuous Improvement team, and autonomous maintenance team.

  • Leadership by Example & Coaching Your leadership and coaching skills will be put to good use as you develop high performing teams through Kellogg Work Systems (KWS) tools that identify and analyzes losses to develop solutions and control plans.

  • KPI's and Work Standards As a goal oriented person, KPI's are the peanut butter to your jelly, making it easy to develop, implement and track progress throughout the plant. Work like an owner by developing and leading Plant Manufacturing Standards for the production lines.

  • Driving Best Practices You will learn best practices along the way, so be sure to share your key learnings as they come. We need your expert communication skills to ensure we replicate operation excellence across all shifts and lines.

  • Technical Support We know you are technically sound, don't be afraid to provide your professional support on production processes, equipment requirements for raw materials and finished goods, standards and specifications.

Our Jackson, TN facility has a phenomenal opportunity for a Process Improvement Engineer, who will be responsible for leading the Process Improvement methodologies utilizing the 3P Part Preparation Process, Design for Assembly and MS-Office software. You will work with Plant Production, Product & Process Engineering, along with other plant and corporate disciplines to identify, plan and develop the most efficient part production processes on new and current products, while identifying which work centers will carry out the manufacturing of new and existing products. It is your responsibility to work with engineering to coordinate, design, development, and procurement of tooling, fixtures, and equipment to carry out these manufacturing processes to meet the stated project goals. Nature & Scope * Facilitate Continuous Improvement type events, such as 3P's and Lean Line design events, to establish the most efficient method of production prior to launch of new product and after launch on existing products and processes. * Plan the manufacturing process needed to craft, modify, assemble, test, or inspect faucets and faucet-related components in a safe, efficient and ergonomically sound way. * Assist with tracking procurement of tooling, fixtures, equipment and gauges in a timely fashion to insure the stated project goals are achieved. * Project management of process design and procurement. * Be able to seek additional projects with little to no mentorship. Education & Experience/Skills * A Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Chemical Engineering or Industrial Engineering is helpful or equivalent experience. In addition, this position typically requires a you possessing a minimum of 5+ years experience as an engineer in a manufacturing environment and has proven they can execute process development to launch a project successfully. * Having a high level of mechanical or technical knowledge regarding 3P process or lean processes and have validated problem solving, planning, and project management skills from previous work experience is a plus. * Possess good interpersonal skills to be able to effectively communicate with and build strong working relationships with diverse individuals and within teams at all levels of the organization. * Skilled at facilitating and leading multi-functional teams through structured CI processes such as Lean Line Design and New Product Development 3P type events. * Think and act independently with little direct guidance. * Demonstrate a strong analytical problem-solving approach to their work We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
