Position Description

Join Applied Medical and be at the forefront of revolutionizing medical device manufacturing. As part of our Group Process Development team, you will be working onsite at our global headquarters pioneering cutting-edge machines, and leading the way in cost reduction, and optimizing manufacturing processes. It is your chance to make an enduring impact on the future of healthcare. As a Labeling Process Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing labeling processes for various products. You will work with cross-functional teams to identify labeling requirements and ensure compliance with regulations. You will also be responsible for managing the labeling process from start to finish and ensuring quality control.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Optimization and Continuous Improvement: Develop and implement cost-effective solutions to enhance overall efficiency and implement measures for continuous process improvement.

  • Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of processes, procedures, and changes.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including operators, a variety of engineers, and quality assurance, to achieve overall business objectives.

  • Project Management: Manage projects related to process improvement, including timelines, budgets, and resources and coordinate effectively with different departments to ensure project success.

  • Problem Solving: You will be responsible for identifying and resolving issues that arise. This will include taking action to solve the problem by generating ideas for the solution, finding out the reasons behind the problem, and implementing the solution.

Performance Objectives:

Within your first 30 days:

  • Complete all Applied Learning foundational courses with a passing grade of 95% or above, demonstrating rapid integration into company processes.

  • Participate in team meetings and operations, contributing valuable insights and ideas to at least three team discussions.

  • Analyze relevant data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

  • Collect feedback from team members and other stakeholders on areas that need improvement.

Within 60 days:

  • Complete at least two project milestones ahead of schedule, showcasing a deep understanding of role processes and projects.

  • Take ownership of low to moderately-guided projects, ensuring 100% progress to the next phase, demonstrating initiative.

  • Begin implementing the proposed improvements to existing processes.

  • Engage with stakeholders to ensure their ongoing involvement and support for process improvements.

Within 90 days to one year:

  • Contribute significantly to a minimum of three projects and lead one project management initiative, resulting in a 15% increase in project efficiency.

  • Cultivate strong interpersonal connections, leading to a 25% increase in collaborative project successes.

  • Lead at least three moderate to complex projects, all completed within budget and ahead of schedule, displaying autonomy and advanced project management skills.

  • Conduct regular audits of process documentation for accuracy and relevance.

Position Requirements

  • More than one year of relevant Engineering work experience.

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.

  • Experience in SolidWorks 3D modeling.

  • Knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical devices.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.

  • Effective verbal, written and, interpersonal communication skills.

  • Experience with technical writing.

  • Ability to work independently, resolve issues, and manage multiple tasks and priorities.

  • Being Self-motivated and having the ability to multi-task.

Preferred

  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes.

  • Experience in packaging, medical or pharmaceutical.

  • Experience with product labeling or labeling materials.

  • Practical or theoretical experience creating detailed engineering drawings for fabrication and assembly.

  • Hands-on experience in building automated equipment, electro-mechanical equipment or, mechanical prototype fixtures.

  • Experience with specifying or designing automated equipment.

  • Experience in testing and analysis including the design of test plans and failure analysis.

  • Project management experience including developing project plans and timelines and tracking deliverable progress.
