Under the general supervision of the Wafer Fab Process Engineering Manager, works in the cooled detector wafer fab and owns processes and metrology equipment. Works with Quality to develop and maintain and produce regular SPC reporting. Becomes expert in processing methods and process flow. Works with technicians to provide immediate support and the first line of engineering review. Contributing member of yield and failure analysis teams. Initiates and drives continuous improvement projects. Supports ISO and product lifecycle implementation. Work environments are majority clean room, with limited office work.

2+ years of related experience
Prior experience in one or more vacuum deposition and etch, photolithography, wet etch, hybridization, automated optical inspection
Familiarity with a range of semiconductor wafer processing equipment and processes
Working knowledge of cleanroom practices
Familiarity with statistics/analysis software example JMP, Minitab
Experience with analytical problem-solving methods Kepner Tregoe, DMAIC,
WIP tracking system familiarity desired
ISO 9001 process and procedures
Ability to work using hands and have good manual dexterity
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in related technical discipline required
US Citizen or Permanent Resident status required
Proficient computer skills Word, Excel & Outlook
Ability to communicate clearly in written and spoken English
Proficient with the use of Computers
Ability to use microscopes.
