Are you a self-motivated, confident, and passionate Process Engineer who understands why Process Engineering is so important to the success of the company?

In this role you'll working as part of dynamic team analyzing, debugging, repairing, and updating test fixtures in support of manufacturing as key contributor to the current products portfolio.

You'll have an opportunity to provide guidance and direction to contractors and staff so as to meet project schedule and financial goals while ensuring technical success.

You should possess Minimum of 5 years Electrical experience with a concentration in process equipment design and maintenance.


Principal Activities / Duties /

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and document assembly, test and repair processes and instructions from design to process

  • Review and approve Design Drawings and Documents, and Compliance Documents (including user requirements and functional specifications) for process and support equipment and systems

  • Independently plan, execute, and manage projects that span multiple disciplines and incorporate novel methods, techniques or approaches

Education and/or Experience Required:

B.S. in Engineering, Supply Chain or related discipline desired.
7-10 years experience within a manufacturing environment.

Experience in assembly and testing of high complexity low volume products

Expertise in process engineering including process and equipment design

Experience in developing procedures from the design to process project stages

Experience and understanding of the Design, Build and Validation process

General Skills:

Ability to work in a team environment and to multi-task with strong analytical and problem solving skills.

Results oriented and committed to quality and continuous improvement.

Ability to convince management on courses of actions using both written and verbal methods

This includes integration and test of optical systems, component metrology, and analysis, and uncertainty budget requirements analysis. The selected candidate will perform the following duties: * Create, develop, and design optical metrology and integration plans and equipment for a wide variety of optical components and assemblies * Prepare optical metrology engineering input for program reviews and customer presentations as requested * Improve existing technologies and investigate, develop, and implement new technologies for both optical testing and lens manufacturing. * Represent the organization as a technical contact on proposals, contracts, projects. * Research new assembly processes and equipment * Evaluate and justify new equipment for all analytical instruments used in manufacturing * Develop and maintain plans, schedules, and budgets for assigned projects * Support Sales staff on customer visits as technical expert * Analyze technical problems arising in optical metrology, manufacturing, and integration and develop optimal strategies for addressing them * Bachelor's degree with 3 years of experience * Strong problem-solving capability, people skills, * Ability to conduct presentations for management, technical experts, and customers required. Key skills: * Optical metrology or manufacturing experience * Knowledge of optical tolerancing and requirements * Wavefront sensing experience desired * Software packages: Optical Studio (Zemax), Python, FRED, and SolidWorks * Experience with commercially available interferometry systems, profilometers and MTF equipment * Degrees in optics, physics, or applied mathematics All external hiring is contingent upon the successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and a criminal background check.
