The position is responsible for initiating and driving improvement within production processes in order to maintain efficiency, reduce cost, improve sustainability and maximize profitability within the organization. Additionally, this position will develop best practices, routines and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output.


  • Develop, configure and optimize processes from inception through to start up and certification.

  • Assess processes, take measurements and interpret data.

  • Provide process documentation and operating instructions.

  • Oversight of processes and working to maintain optimization of the production line.

  • Assist production technicians in troubleshooting in the event of a problem.

  • Design, run, test and upgrade systems and processes.

  • Perform risk assessments of equipment and processes being used.

  • Lead training to implement "Lean Culture" for improvement. (i.e. 5S's, Standard Work, TPM, SMED).

  • Prepare technical reports, case study documentation, and training manuals.

  • Focus on continuous improvement to eliminate short and long-term problems.

  • Develop innovative solutions using Lean Principals (i.e. Six Sigma, Kaizen process) to accomplish the improvement goals for the organization.

  • Initiate and drive process improvement projects, improve process capability and production volume while maintaining and improving quality standards.

  • Ensure that a project plan is developed and agreed for each defined project.

  • Work with team leaders to plan and lead improvement projects.

  • Involve plant management in improvement projects in an effort to eliminate barriers to team success.

  • Provide guidance to sustain improvement changes.

  • Communicate lessons learned and best practices from improvement projects.

  • Ensure projects are completed within budget and on time.

  • Research and purchase new manufacturing technology.


  • Education: Bachelor in Engineering Sciences. Master degree in Industrial Engineering desired.

  • Knowledge:
    Lean Manufacturing, Process Set up, Process Optimization, Six Sigma, AutoCAD.

  • Experience: Process Engineer with minimum of 3 years' experience, 5 years preferred.

Bell is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to support Drive Systems Center located in Grand Prairie, Texas Position Responsibilities: The Senior Process Engineer will contribute to the successful completion of major projects that support strategic priorities or difficult technical objectives. The Senior Process Engineer understands advanced manufacturing technical principles, theories and concepts to develop imaginative manufacturing technology on existing or advanced designs, concepts, processes, systems and tools. Represents Production Engineering as manufacturing technical contact on projects, programs and/or cross functional teams. Position Requirements: * Direct customer facing experience either supporting production, industrialization of product or frontline leadership. * Able to effectively identify, report and resolve potential safety and quality hazards/risks. * Able to develop scope of work, resource estimates, progress metrics, and communication cadence for overall project management to meet mission critical objectives. * Able to perform producibility analysis and manufacturing trade studies to determine cost effective solutions to complex manufacturing technical lobjectives. * Works through a disciplined approach in initiating, planning, executing, controlling and closing tasks and projects to achieve specific goals to specific success criteria. * Work and deliverables reviewed and checked through team leadership, Project/Program management, and Functional management to adequately meet objectives * Mentors and shares manufacturing technology with team mates andcolleagues. * Past experience with milling, jig boring, and/or multi-function machine experience required * Knowledge and/or expertise in one or more manufacturing technologies to include, but not limited to the following: * Aero-structure – Airframe design of metallic, non-metallic, machining, cutting tool, additive part fabrication and assembly manufacturing processes, equipment, tool integration, and product verification. * Electrical and Mechanical Systems – design, integration and installation manufacturing processes, tool integration, equipment, and product verification. * Tail, Main and Prop Rotor Blade Systems - design of metallic, non-metallic, machining, cutting tool, additive part fabrication and bonded assembly manufacturing processes, tool integration, equipment, and product verification. * Manufacturing Execution Systems - process specifications, CAD/CAM; production planning, material requirements scheduling, and material kitting and handling. * Gear and Transmission Drive Systems - metallic, non-metallic, machining, cutting tool, additive part fabrication and assembly manufacturing processes, tool application, equipment, and productverification. * Tool and Equipment Integration – Facility requirements, ergonomics, safety, environmental, automation, robotics, metrology, tool & die fabrication, tool design methodology, determinant tooling & fixtures, loft practices, flat patterning, numerical controlled programing of equipment, tool cutting/addition technology applied to the fabrication and assembly of vertical lift systems. * Knowledge of military and commercial aircraft systems. * Able to apply engineering design and analysis knowledge to evaluate discrepancies and anomalies. * Excellent oral and written communication skills. * Proficiency in MS Office tools of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio and Outlook.
