Process Development Co-Op - Summer 2019
Amicus Therapeutics is recruiting for a Process and Analytical Development Co-op opportunity located in Cranbury, NJ. A Co-Op in Process and Analytical Development will support lab studies in cell culture, protein purification, analytical methods development and formulation development. A successful student will have strong background in biochemical engineering principles, lab experience with bioprocesses and be willing to learn and work in a team. This will be a six month appointment.
Roles and Responsibilities
The co-op is responsible for:
Working with staff scientists in executing bench scale experiments such as cell culture bioreactors, protein purification, or analytical methods
Write and/ or review technical reports, documents relating to process development
A Bachelor's degree in engineering, biochemistry, biology or related life sciences field is required.
Candidates must be enrolled (not necessarily taking classes) in an accredited college/university during the Co-op session.
Candidate must be considered a student during the Co-op session (i.e. will not have already graduated college).
Candidate must be available to work full-time (40 hours/week) during the co-op session.
A minimum G.P.A. of 3.0 is preferred.
Candidates must be detail-oriented, highly organized and have the ability to multi-task.
Candidates must have the ability to work individually as well as on a team.
Candidates need to be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and have strong oral and written communication skills.
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and not require future sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g. H1-B status) now or in the future.
Students must be able to provide their own transportation to the work site location.
