Summary:

SkyWater Technology's Defect & Metrology team is seeking a Process Defect Engineer. The candidate will be responsible for FAB module defect trend monitoring and will partner with other engineering groups to resolve & prevent defect excursions. This individual will learn the process flow, learn how to use the defect investigation tools, and be proactive about continuous improvement projects. Responsibilities:

• Own & maintain defect excursion reaction plans.

• Fab module defect trend monitoring to identify potential defect sources.

• Review & respond to fab defect trends using statistical process control principles.

• Support transition between defect management systems.

• Support advanced technology product transfers.

• Learn defect recipe creation on all defect inspection tools.

• Initiate and execute defect reduction projects and root source finding activities.

• Work on baseline improvement projects to drive yield.

Required Qualifications:

• Education: B.S. degree in Data Science/Analytics, Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Device Physics, or other related engineering degree.

• 1 - 3 years of Defect Engineering experience.

• Semiconductor processing knowledge.

• Knowledge and understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC).

• Data mining/analysis skills.

• Excellent troubleshooting skills.

• Knowledge of basic computer applications and reporting skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Experience with coding, Python, SQL, JMP for data analysis.

US Citizenship Required: This position will require the holding of or ability to obtain government security clearance which requires U.S Citizenship.
