Freeport, TX Additional locations may include Oyster Creek, TX Salary: $93,000 - $160,000 depending on experience, plus additional bonus Schedule: 9/80 schedule available Relocation Available Focus: The Process Controls Engineer is a technical resource that will support a program that will replace legacy process control systems across Operations with a modern DCS as well as maintain and provide technical support of existing control systems. These roles resolve plant issues, drive improvements, and share knowledge to strengthen the performance of the team.

Process Controls Engineer Essential Job Functions: Support the migration from the legacy control system to platform "next" at the project level, and interface with the team responsible for migrating all MES functionality in advance of the DCS Migration Define implementation plans with vendors, System Integrators, developers and end-users Organize new working processes and coach the end-user, along with providing input for developing and maintaining training documentation for application users Coordinate with MES application-related efforts with the team and application users in mind, and assist in the identification and development of Most Effective Technologies (MET). Assist with FEL-2 and FEL-3 estimates and engineering by providing plant level knowledge and insight, or work with the plant to generate the information required Work independently as a system owner, providing care and troubleshooting of process automation systems and their associated networks and interfaces. Identify and manage Preventative Maintenance tasks and health checks for the systems that you support, and provide corrective support in response to a system error condition or failure as the first point of escalation from the plant.

Process Controls Engineer Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering; Process Automation, Electrical or Chemical Engineering discipline preferred. 2 years of experience programming or equivalent Process Control industry experience required Demonstrated working knowledge of the VAX Digital system and IP-21 from Aspen preferred Experience with Aspen Tech, MOD5, Primavera P6, Smart Plant, Legacy Producer System, VAX, DEC, GPI, CROS preferred Must be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) and must possess a valid US Driver's License Strong Careers Grow Here Rooted in our corporate values, Olin continues to be the global leader in both chemical manufacturing and ammunition.
