The Process Control Support Project Manager will actively supports Site Solutions organization and associated project managers in their day to day business and is responsible for process documentation, development, implementation, training and improvement. Additional duties to include:
Provides guidance, coaching and training to Project Managers through continuous professional development sessions.
Creates and runs a Continuous Improvement and Lessons Learned Improvement Phase and strategy as the last phase of a project. Notates and address' project execution shortcoming in terms of cost and time for installations on all Particle Therapy machines through the Installation and Commissioning phase of the project.
Collects, documents and reviews enhancement initiatives with the manager of the PSO on a regular basis.
Oversees the SAP implementation of process' and process improvement for the PSO, to include desk instruction creation and repository with training to all stakeholders on all SAP process' impacting Site Solutions Organization projects.
Owns the Master Project Schedule for all system configurations and is the primary for creation, scheduling, sequencing, updating/improvements and training of the Master Project Schedules to all Project Managers within Site Solutions Organization.
Site Solution's Commercial Project Management representative. Spearheads cost center coordination and labor rate adjustments for the Site Solutions Organization as needed, ensuring updates to PSO Manager and Site Solutions Director. To include labor allocation process tools, databases and training to all Site Solutions stakeholders as needed.
BS in an Engineering Discipline or related (or euivalent experience) and 3+ years of experience in the medical device industry.
3+ years' experience as Project Manager or Program Manager in a high tech industry with demonstrated success managing multi-million dollar budgets and aggressive delivery timelines with strict regulatory & quality requirements.
3+ years' experience using SAP. SAP Key User preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in order to present to internal Varian teams at both the technical level and management level.
Demonstrated ability to motivate cross functional teams.
Strong organization skills and a detail orientation to coordinate and schedule necessary activities in the support of projects or programs as assigned in conjunction with having a big picture mentality and appreciation of completed, high tech systems.
PMP Certification preferred.
Must be fluent in English.
Willing to travel up to 0-25% domestically and internationally.
Proficient in utilizing business tools such as: E-Mail, SAP, MS Project, Visio, Word, Excel, SharePoint and PowerPoint.
