Job Description:

Our Process Controls Engineer teams execute Process Controls projects from concept through design, programming, commissioning, and start-up.

Responsibilities:

  • Customer / Client Interface: Act as direct liaison to external and internal clients. Communicate scope details, project budget and schedule updates, negotiate solutions, and drive successful relationships.

  • Leadership: Be a leader in a team of automation engineers through Design, Programming, and Field Start-Up. Provide technical leadership, task and quality oversight, and lead project execution.

  • Excellent Engineering and Technical skills as related to Process Controls Systems, Closed Loop Controls, Instrumentation, Continuous and Batch Processing, Process Controls Sub-Systems (PLC, HMI, SCADA, Networks, I/O), working knowledge of Panel Design, 480V Distribution and Control, etc. Professional shall have an intimate knowledge of the Rockwell Automation platform.

  • Excellent Client and Communication Skills:The ability to work closely with, collaborate, understand the needs of, negotiate with, and ultimately deliver successful projects to internal and external customers.
  • Exposure to a variety of industry programming standards (ISA-88) and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5+ years of related automation experience with Rockwell Automation/Allen-Bradley control systems.

  • Experience with RSLogix5000/LogixDesigner, FactoryTalk View SE/ME, Ethernet Networking, and Server Virtualization (VMware) is required. Experience with Profibus PA, AS-Interface, or CIP Safety is a plus.

  • Special consideration will be given to those with experience in FactoryTalk Batch, PlantPAx Process Library, PhaseManager, FactoryTalk Historian, ThinManager, SQL, or Visual Basic programming.

  • This position requires the ability to successfully execute multiple project responsibilities with minimal supervision.

Education:

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related technical degree.

Job Summary Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Capture, define, document, and maintain detailed BPMN 2.0-based process models.- Create and manage allied process documentation including business requirements, use case documentation and test plans; ensuring all required process documentation is accurate, correctly detailed, maintained and organized in the appropriate repository.- Design, execute and evaluate test plans to ensure source data are accurately represented in presentation data objects (dashboards/reports).- Facilitate discussion among process stakeholders (both technical and non-technical) in order to elicit, analyze, communicate (both written and verbally) and validate requirements, process design, and business intelligence (reporting) needs.- Mentor, train, and provide guidance, background information, and assistance to managers, analysts and other staff on standards and best practices in the following areas: business and operational analysis, and interpretation and effective use of process models, presentation objects and other analysis artifacts.- Plan and execute analysis.- Interrogate data and other information to perform root cause analysis, impact assessments, or to identify key measures and indicators of process performance and make recommendations to improve or correct performance.- Write and author presentations to clients and other staff, often requiring clear and persuasive explanation of complex processes to a non-technical audience.Minimum Requirements:- Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of experience.
