JOB SUMMARY:
The Quality Auditor is responsible for daily verifications of in-process and final production parts, spot and dock audits, Main plant Fab component issues, containment actions, MRB processing, part rejections, vendor returns, and special projects. Use of measurement tools, quality analysis, and computer data entry are additional essential duties of this job title.
SSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings for part form and dimensions
Daily measurement and verification of part dimensions according to engineering drawings for in-process and final production parts
Dock audits and special parts audits
Containment and immediate communication of quality issues to Operator, Group Leader, and Quality Supervisor
Audit Operators First Piece Inspection documents and parts
Audit of permanent corrective actions to ensure viability
Receive and process tagged rejected parts in MRB; direct rework and enter vendor parts into Parts123 for returns
Report on part defects and process issues; communicate rejects to Production Control for proper electronic transfer and ordering of parts
On-site Responder to North plant quality issues and concerns; investigate at South plant
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Good computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, etc.)
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Ability to use and read measurement tools such as rulers, calipers, protractors, etc.
Knowledge and use of internal systems such as BBOND and LN
Capable of working in a self-directed environment
Good organizational skills/communications, verbal and written
Able to work well with other employees
EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING:
High School Diploma/G.E.D./Certification
Work experience in Assembly Line I/II operations
Past excellent work and attendance record
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Must work in manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, cold and noise
Fast paced production area with moving objects and sheet metal
Able to work a flexible time schedule (first shift, second shift, weekends, etc)
Able to work overtime
Able to travel between North and South plants
PERFORMANCE CRITERIA:
Achieve requirements for daily audits, MRB/Rework processing, and quality investigations
Communication of South quality defects and quality goals (overall and by department)
Achieve Quality Department goals as they are developed
Adhere to all safety rules and requirements
Maintain attendance requirements per Blue Bird Personnel Policies
