The Device Development group needs technical support with Process Assembly activities. This includes working with process engineers to ensure processes are optimized for assembly, including documenting manufacturing procedures, assisting with assembly work, and assisting with fixture design. Support the Device Development group in process assembly, including build management and fixture design. Assist in the delivery of assembled devices for engineering and verification testing.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Work with the department engineering team to make sure all of the customers' needs are met in a timely manner with the ability to multi-task and perform functions within company guidelines
Initiate assembly manufacturing procedures
Initiate equipment and fixture user requirement specifications and qualification protocols
Contribute to process assembly weekly meetings and execute necessary tasks
Contribute to Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA) reviews
Preparation of process development reports for both customers and technical use
Work with the engineering team to develop a root cause analysis and methodical issue resolution methods as related to process development
Assist with testing process methods to ensure robustness and evaluate results using Minitab
Assist with setting up a manufacturing line layout (footprint and equipment strategy) that meet the required TAKT Time
Process Purchase Order Requests (PORs)
Participate in process feasibility, process development and engineering builds
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, refining best practices, and streamlining work processes
Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor
Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy
Education & Experience Requirements
Solid understanding of engineering principles, materials, process assembly, and fixture design
Familiar with injection molding
Proficient with CREO or Solidworks
Strong writing skills
Curious, motivated and self-directed
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
