Our Albertville, Alabama manufacturing plant was established in 1975 and has seen continual growth and stability in the community over the last quarter century.

Mueller Co. is currently seeking a qualified candidate for a Process Analyst.

Job Summary

  • Analyze processes to identify root cause of defects and other issues with objective of facilitating process improvement.

  • Gather data through measurement, testing, data collection systems, and observation to identify statistically significant issues that need to be addressed.

  • Work within project/team structure, or solo to analyze opportunities and implement improved process controls designed to address issues associated with quality improvement, process improvements, productivity improvements to ultimately improve customer satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Works under direction of Quality Management in cooperation with other plant personnel. Conducts ongoing review of process, process controls, and opportunity for process improvement related to Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Productivity with focus area on Quality.

  • Interprets quality standards and measures as required to evaluate conformity to standard, trains machine operators concerning measurement methods. Has authority and responsibility to approve acceptance quality and to quarantine defective or suspect quality product.

  • Gathers data, stores data, evaluates data, and presents data to be utilized with process capability measures as well as process improvement. Such data includes but is not limited to scrap data, measurement data, First Time Yield, and other measures of process performance data.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

Associates degree preferred but High School Diploma or GED required. Dimensional measurement and documentation of dimensional measurement is required. Operationally effective with Microsoft office tools preferred but Microsoft Excel skills are a requirement

RequirementsRequirements: Physically capable of moderate to light physical efforts equivalent to occasionally lifting or moving light to average weight material. Frequently lifting up to 5 pounds an occasionally lifting up to twenty-five pounds. Continuous mental, visual and constant alertness while operating industrial truck and performing other job tasks. Physically capable of sitting over 80% of working time when performing material handling work tasks. Wear PPE as required. Ability to work in hot and/or cold temperatures depending on the season and climate. Audiovisual capabilities of speech, vision and hearing with continuous mental and vision attention performing activities requiring constant alertness. Visual capabilities include near, far, peripheral and depth perception vision. Ability to read, write, add, subtract and use statistical process control tools and specifications. Knowledge of and the ability to follow established work instructions and procedures set forth by management relative to safety, personnel, environment, cost, and quality, within the department.
