Our Albertville, Alabama manufacturing plant was established in 1975 and has seen continual growth and stability in the community over the last quarter century.

Mueller Co. is currently seeking a qualified candidate for a Process Analyst.

Job Summary

  • Analyze processes to identify root cause of defects and other issues with objective of facilitating process improvement.

  • Gather data through measurement, testing, data collection systems, and observation to identify statistically significant issues that need to be addressed.

  • Work within project/team structure, or solo to analyze opportunities and implement improved process controls designed to address issues associated with quality improvement, process improvements, productivity improvements to ultimately improve customer satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Works under direction of Quality Management in cooperation with other plant personnel. Conducts ongoing review of process, process controls, and opportunity for process improvement related to Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Productivity with focus area on Quality.

  • Interprets quality standards and measures as required to evaluate conformity to standard, trains machine operators concerning measurement methods. Has authority and responsibility to approve acceptance quality and to quarantine defective or suspect quality product.

  • Gathers data, stores data, evaluates data, and presents data to be utilized with process capability measures as well as process improvement. Such data includes but is not limited to scrap data, measurement data, First Time Yield, and other measures of process performance data.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

Associates degree preferred but High School Diploma or GED required. Dimensional measurement and documentation of dimensional measurement is required. Operationally effective with Microsoft office tools preferred but Microsoft Excel skills are a requirement

It also offers metering, leak detection, pipe condition assessment, and other products and services for the water infrastructure industry, as well as provides installation, replacement, and maintenance services on new and existing valves, fire hydrants, and service lines. The Foundry Production Supervisor effectively plans and implements work for assigned production areas while ensuring parts, materials, and manpower are available to perform the work. Additionally the supervisor is responsible for coordinating planning changes into production, performing capacity analyses by specific work area, making capital equipment recommendations, implement flow manufacturing techniques where appropriate, and providing other support to production and management as required. Primary Accountabilities: Primary accountabilities include, but are not limited to the following: * Plan and lead the activities of production processes and personnel on various shifts during the manufacturing/assembly of products. * Partner with the Production Manager, Production Planning, and Materials departments to establish production priorities and plans. * Direct production operations in accordance with established priorities and sequences for manufacturing products using knowledge of production processes and methods, machine and equipment capabilities and skilled labor. * Analyze production schedules to estimate work requirements for completion of job assignments and adjust to meet scheduled requirements. * Assist Quality Assurance and Manufacturing Engineering personnel in testing, troubleshooting and modifying processes to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of products. * Advise managers and supervisors of production issues and offer suggestions for changes in working conditions, design, test, production procedures, and the use of equipment. * Meet or exceed goals established for safety, labor efficiencies, schedule attainment, scrap, rework, and any other production related goals. * Initiate, suggest, and implement plans to motivate, empower, and develop workers to achieve work goals in a team environment. * Supervise and assist in the set up, operation, troubleshooting and maintenance of various automated machines, assembly equipment and/or machining centers. * Conduct performance appraisals and make recommendations for promotions, transfers, discharges, and disciplinary measures. * Obtain critically needed products from material as directed, performing any necessary operations / processes to expedite requirements toward production plans. * Implement lean techniques and principles such as 5S, standardized work, waste identification and elimination, value stream mapping, team based multi-skilled workforce, one piece flow technology, visual factory concepts, and total productive maintenance. Required Skills Associates Degree Preferred Education: * Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, and/or a relevant field of work. Required Experience Required Experience: * Two to four years of demonstrated work related Supervisory experience is required. * Good communication, relationship skills, and demonstrated leadership abilities. * Three years in a manufacturing environment.
