Our Procedure Suite Administrator is responsible for the daily administrative operation of the procedure suite. Patients, visitors and medical staff will turn to you for information and help with administrative issues. Your goal is to ensure smooth workflow, so that our patients receive the best possible care. Travel to other offices may be required at times to ensure operational coverage.

Responsibilities include:

  • Greet, register and assist patients
  • Answer telephones; handling caller needs or warm transferring to the appropriate party
  • Schedule patients for procedures; arrange any PATs; obtain pre-certifications where needed; distribute pre- and post-operative information to patients
  • Make follow-up appointments for patients as required by physician(s)
  • Field calls from dialysis patients and units; determine patient needs and appropriate response
  • Coordinate with Dialysis Centers on access patient follow-up appointments
  • (May) handle OR scheduling for physicians as core responsibility

Requirements

  • Minimum four years experience in administering the provision of services for a busy medical practice; direct experience in scheduling and front office
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills and patient orientation
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Demonstrated organization skills including ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

VIEW JOBS 11/21/2019 12:00:00 AM 2020-02-19T00:00 <p>We are looking for a Part-Time Surgical Tech/Medical Assistant to support our Westfield and Shrewsbury offices who can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and provide our patients with the care and support they need. As a MA/Surgical Tech you will be responsible for providing support to ensure efficient operation of the medical office. You will also assist in vascular procedures in support of the physician(s). The position’s duties are highly variable, so the successful candidate must be willing to change direction at a moment’s notice and keep pace with the other professionals on staff. It is expected the position will be 2 days/week on alternate Mondays/Tuesdays and Friday.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul> <li>Prepare instruments, equipment and appropriate supplies needed for office and procedure suite surgical procedures</li> <li>Clean and sterilize procedure room and instruments</li> <li>(May) communicate pre-operative and post-operative instructions to patients</li> <li>Observe and maintain compliance with all OSHA guidelines including hazard communication, MSDS and PPE requirements</li> <li>Perform a variety of clinical &amp; administrative tasks such as documentation to EMR, completing consent paperwork, processing medical clearances</li> <li>Assist physician during procedure while utilizing aseptic techniques</li> <li>Applies proper post-operative dressings to patients</li> <li>Manage inventory, ensuring availability of necessary supplies</li> <li>Process disability paperwork for patients</li> <li>Handles protected health information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.</li> </ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p><strong>Skills and Experience:</strong></p><ul> <li>Minimum three+ years as a surgical technologist, preferably in a vascular surgery practice</li> <li>Knowledge of sterile/aseptic technique</li> <li>Strong patient focus and customer service skills</li> <li>Excellent communication skills</li> <li>Works well under pressure</li> </ul><p><strong>Education:</strong></p><ul> <li>Completion of a surgical technician program through an accredited school; surgical technician certification is required</li> <li>Current CPR/BLS and AED certification</li> </ul><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><p>Our employees enjoy comprehensive health insurance, paid time off, company holidays, a 401k plan, along with access to Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability and Life Insurance.</p> The Cardiovascular Care Group Westfield NJ
