Associate Field Service Representative

The person taking the Associate Field Service Representative role will spend the majority of their time in four key areas. They are:

  • Traveling between hospitals based on assignment of service requests.

  • Troubleshooting and resolving customer and product issues.

  • Building positive relationships with Stryker customers.

  • Documenting service results in order to maintain accurate quality records.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Repair and deliver equipment according to Stryker Medical specifications.

  • Perform all required quality control checks and preventive maintenance in accordance with the product operation manual.

  • Present the highest level of customer etiquette in support of the sales team.

  • Promote increased equipment and service usage by establishing and maintaining effective customer relationships.

  • Responsible for maintaining and recording assigned inventory.

  • Manage personal schedule by regular and punctual attendance.

  • Must adhere to Field Service metrics: hours accountability, inventory, overtime accountability, etc.

  • Ensure all routine maintenance is performed on company vehicle.

  • Adhere to proper expense reporting procedures.

  • Complete all designated training programs in a timely manner.

  • Participate in all work assignments as may be deemed suitable and assigned by management.

Position Requirements (Education, Special Training, Certifications):

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Must be 21 years of age and have a valid driver's license.

  • Effective reading and writing skills.

  • Willingness and ability to work extended workweek including nights and weekends.

  • Maintain professional image by proper grooming and dress.

  • Willingness to follow all safety rules. Adhere to policies and procedures established by Stryker Medical.

  • Must be able to analyze and resolve equipment issues using independent judgment.

  • Must be able to follow and explain detailed instruction troubleshooting and inspection procedures.

  • Must be able to complete detailed documentation accurately.

  • Must be able to logically diagnose issues and systematically solve problems.

  • Ability to prioritize issues.

  • Basic electronic and mechanical aptitude.

Shimadzu Scientific Instruments is hiring a Field Service Technician to provide service instrument support in the following product areas: HPLC, GC, LCMS, GCMS, UV-Vis, FTIR, TOC, AA, ICP, and other analytical instruments. Job Summary The individual in this position is responsible for a wide variety of service related support functions including, but not limited to, the repair, maintenance, and performance of IQ/OQ/PT of assigned products. The products are to include SSI owned demo equipment, instruments returned from customers and customer owned products. This position is responsible for learning how to repair, maintenance and installation of assigned products. ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: * Providing repair and maintenance support on assigned products. * Accurate documentation and reporting of all repairs and product failures and when applicable providing design change and improvement recommendations. * Timely submission of all required paperwork and documentation as required. * Work closely with and under the direction of more senior service personnel & service supervisor in-order to obtain/learn the necessary skills required for future field service assignments. * Limited travel in the local region to include possible assignments in a neighboring region. SCOPE: This position's primary focus is to learn how to provide quality, efficient service to our customers and to support the regional staff in the performance of the same. Additionally, the individual in this position should learn required skills so they may accept a field service assignment within SSI's market area as desired. Technicians will not have an assigned region/territory at this level.
