NVIDIA is the leader in GPU accelerated VDI, and we are looking for a Solutions Architect to join our Professional Visualization team with expertise in Virtualization technologies such as VMWare, Citrix, KVM, and Hyper-V. Having experience with NVIDIA GPUs is a plus. We need someone based in our HQ in Santa Clara to support customers and partners; establishing relationships, solving problems with their IT teams, and helping them build and implement a successful NVIDIA solution.
What you'll be doing:
Join the team as an authority on our graphics GPU virtualization solutions supporting customer and partner sales teams. Solution Architects are the main technical point of contact for our enterprise customers providing trusted advice; presales support and assistance during customer evaluations.
Some of the key responsibilities are as follows. Support all pre-sales activities related to NVIDIA vGPU solution.
Provide assistance with NVIDIA's go to market strategy for new products assisting early access customers. Build technical documents for internal and external consumption. Present NVIDIA technology at various industry events and partner training. Build and maintain a lab environment for testing.
Being a Solution Architect does mean there is some travel involved, as often the most effective way to figure things out is a face-to-face meeting. But the job isn't life on the road.
We make heavy use of conferencing tools, so realistically most of the job is using WebEx, talking on the phone, or taking care of email! You are empowered to determine the best way to get the job done and do what it takes to make our partners/customers successful. We provide regular training so that the team can communicate the value and answer technical inquiries of all of NVIDIA's professional product lines with partner organizations.
What we need to see from you:
Understand the full stack. Customer workflow, Applications, frameworks, OS, server hardware, networking, storage, and data center needs all factor into building successful solutions Knowing how all the parts fit together is very significant in being able to work with customers of different skill levels and different areas of expertise. Most successful Solution Architects have at least a BS degree in a technical field and real-world experience at multiple levels of the solution stack.
Experience and confidence in customer-facing technical roles. With channel partners or with enterprise customers, a desire and aptitude for engaging in technical conversations that solve problems are essential.
Familiarity with architecting a solution using NVIDIA's virtual GPU solutions using leading virtualization technology from Citrix, VMware or Microsoft.

This is a deeply technical role and having understanding and experience with various operating systems such as Win 10, Linux CentOS, Ubuntu; is required.
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
In your application a link to a you-tube video lasting no less than 5 minutes explaining the benefits of GPU acceleration for virtualization.
Knowledge of technologies like AI and participation in courses provided through NVIDIA's Deep Learning Institute.
Ability to develop relationships throughout a partner organization from C-level down to programmer/technical buyer.
Web server experience with Storage, Networking & Thin Clients
Experience with Open Source Xen and KVM
