PRN Weekend Dishwasher

We are currently looking for a Dishwasher to work on a PRN (as needed) within our Skilled Nursing and Rehab Community at The Wesleyan. As a Dishwasher at The Wesleyan, you will be an integral part of a mission and values-based organization that provides endless opportunities for career growth.

Scheduled Shift: every Saturday from 6:00AM-2:00PM and every Sunday from 12:00PM-8:00PM

Essential Job Functions:

• Washes and stores all dishes and equipment in accordance with specified procedures.

• Maintains the dish room and pot and pan washing area in a neat, clean and sanitary manner.

• Keeps kitchen floors clean (sweeps and mops) and trash emptied.

• Assists with the transportation and storage of delivered goods and with the delivery of prepared foods.

• Unloads, unpacks, stores and rotates dry goods, frozen foods and refrigerated goods.

• Cleans and sanitizes and relines the trash/garbage containers.

• Assembles, operates and cleans dish machine.

• Monitors dish machine operational performance, reports problems to supervisor.

• Cleans cooking equipment removable parts, including stoves, ovens, grills, mixers. Also cleans exhaust hoods, vents and all cooking tools.

• Assures the maintenance of sanitizing temperatures and PPM levels in all dishwashing machines and solutions.

• Assists cooks and waitstaff as requested.

• Exhibits a cheerful and friendly manner toward all residents, guests and co-workers.

• Must exhibit qualities of patience, concern for the needs of the elderly, and a positive attitude toward interactions with residents and employees of the Wesleyan.

• Performs set-up and clean up duties as assigned.

• Must keep work area in a professional condition.

• Must be a supportive team member, contribute to an be an example of teamwork and team concept and the ability to work harmoniously with to other personnel.

• Must not post a direct threat to the health and safety of other individuals and self in the workplace.

Qualifications & Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Must be able to read, write and speak English.

• Must have a service-minded approach to all aspects of the job.

• A passion for working within a senior living and/or assisted living community is a must!

• Alignment with and enthusiasm about The Wesleyan's culture and core values.
