Registered Nurse - Coronary Intensive Care (CIC) 24 Bed ICU!

A 24 Bed ICU involving various and extensive coronary and cardiac care, as well as general ICU patients.

JOB SUMMARY:

• Under the immediate direction of the Nurse Manager/ CNO, this position is responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation.

• Responsible for directing, coordinating all nursing care based on established clinical nursing practices.

• Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes.

MINIMAL ACCEPTABLE JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Licensure:

• Current Indiana RN license or compact license.

Experience:

• Preferred minimum of one year hospital experience

Education:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing.

Registration/Certification:

• Must obtain and maintain AED/Basic Life Support (CPR) certification within 7 days of hire. ACLS optional.

CIC patient population:

Cardiac Arrest/Post Arrest

Respiratory Arrest/Failure

Acute MI, NSTEMI, ACS

Pulmonary Edema/Unstable CHF/Cardiomyopathy

Pulmonary Hypertension

Acute Renal Failure

Sepsis/Septic Shock

Pulmonary Embolism/DVT

Heart Blocks/Pacemakers

RN Assisted Procedures at Bedside:

• Cardioversions, Arterial Line Placement, Central Venous Catheter Placement, Temporary Pacemaker, Swan Ganz, Dialysis Catheter Placement

Post Procedure Care:

• Carotid Stent, TAVR, EVAR, VT Ablations, Coronary Stent, Valvuloplasty, EKOS

Equipment:

• Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump, TABLO for CRRT, Impella for LVAD, Ventilator, Continuous Cardiac Output (Swan Ganz Catheter), Zoll Defibrillators, Targeted Temperature Management (Zoll and Arctic Sun), EKOS
