PRN Respiratory Therapist

PRN Respiratory Therapist Responsibilities: Performing routine cleaning and maintenance of respiratory therapy equipment.

Preparing and testing respiratory therapy equipment for safe operation and reporting any malfunctions. Following safety rules and special instructions to prevent the spread of infection. Documenting patient oxygen use and administering prescribed medications.

Measuring and administering prescribed therapies such as EZPAP, humidity and aerosols, and BiPAP and CPAP administration. Assessing patients' conditions and response to therapy and modifying therapy as needed. Participating in in-services, continuing education, and other staff development activities.

Performing CPR procedures as part of the Stat Code Team. Keeping patient information confidential and following infection control policies. Performing duties under supervision of certified respiratory therapists or shift supervisors. Performing other related duties as assigned.
