Position Summary The Registered Nurse (R.N.) provides nursing care to patients in compliance with the SC Nurse Practice Act and organization protocols, policies, procedures, and guidelines. The R.N. demonstrates clinical competency utilizing evidence-based practices and research in all areas of the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and outcomes.#The R.N. demonstrates thorough knowledge of therapeutic patient care, patient advocacy, clinical pathways/care maps, team dynamics, hospital systems, and serves as a resource for support associates.# The R.N. will collaborate with leadership in developing and implementing the Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System#s culture, Mission, Vision, and values. Schedule The PRN Tier 1 Nurse must work: Eight (8) 12-hour shifts in a 6-week period. Three (3) of the 8 shifts must be a weekend. Will be placed on a Holiday Track Unit Description 4th Floor at Pelham Medical Center is a 24-bed Acute Care Orthopedic/Spine/Surgical Unit. The types of cases seen on this unit are Post-Surgical Ortho/Spine/Neuro and Med Surg/Telemetry. The typical nurse to patient ratio is 1:5 We are a highly engaged team that is dedicated to providing high quality, excellent, patient-focused care through multidisciplinary collaboration and extensive teamwork. The most utilized equipment is readily available and includes Vital Sign Machines, Oxygen Flowmeters, Suction Set-Up with Regulators, Thermometers, IV Pumps and Channels, Bedside Commodes, SCD Pumps, Walkers and more located in EVERY patient room!
