The Brook Hospital KMI is seeking a PRN Driver/Patient Transportation Coordinator to join our team:
Ensures adequate transportation using facility vehicle to transport patients to and from facility programs. Must have a valid driver's license and have an excellent driving record. Assists with programs and office duties as needed. Must be flexible and be a team player. Serves as an active member of the clinical staff; maintains a therapeutic relationship with all patients; assists in maintenance of a safe, clean, therapeutic environment; assures patient participation in program activities; and performs technical/patient care duties relative to patients health and safety.
Schedules and transports patients to off ground appointments.
Transports patients in hospital vehicle or arranges transportation via ambulance (for non-ambulatory patients) to scheduled appointments
Assists in getting patients to programs within the facility and helps as assigned with clerical or safety procedures as needed to get patients checked in to programs
Completes safe driving packet annually and maintains a good driving record. Must have a valid KY driver's license and a history of good driving
Knows location and condition of all patients at all times. Assists with safety checks and patient counts as needed.
Uses proper body mechanics when moving, transporting and/or lifting adult patients
Assists in management of behavior and control of destructive behavior
