Are you currently enrolled in an accredited school for Registered Nurse? If so, this position offers the opportunity to gain additional clinical experience on an as needed basis around your school schedule. Must be a graduate in May 2020 or later.

To qualify you must have completed the Fundamentals/Foundations portion of your program as well as provide us with a Official Transcripts for verification along with a clinical reference, letter of recommendation & skills achievement checklist (forms provided to you by recruitment).

Provides patient care duties under the guidance and direction of the Registered Nurse. Responsible for implementing components of the plan of care through the initiation/completion of procedures relating to basic human, mental health and social needs, comfort, safety and emergency measures; activities of daily living; personal care needs; nutrition and fluid and elimination needs.

Works with patients and families throughout the course of treatment and beyond to provide an understanding of their disease, their treatment plans, and address patient clinical and psycho-social issues as required. Symptom management calls are made proactively to anticipate needs of patients undergoing treatment and to manage side effects of disease and/or treatment. Care Manager documents assessment and interventions in real time in the electronic medical record. Will collaborate with the oncologist and clinic staff to assist in managing and coordinating patient care. The RN Patient Care Manager will support the mission of Florida Cancer Specialists (FCS) and the Care Management department. POSITION REQUIREMENTS A valid Florida RN license required. ONCC/OCN certification preferred. A graduate of an Accredited RN Nursing Program. Five (5) years of experience in the healthcare field or clinic setting with knowledge of oncology required. Procedure entry with experience in insurance and medical terminology preferred. Strong telephonic, customer services skills needed. Attention to detail, excellent math skills, excellent deduction skills, the ability to work independently, good communication skills, data entry, and knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook.
