Cerner Corporation is currently seeking a PRN Paramedic for our on-site health center for a large, local employer in Lakeland, FL. This health center has a proactive, educative approach where associates and their dependents are motivated to adopt healthy lifestyles and practices.
As a PRN Paramedic, you will be responsible for administering first-aid treatment and life-support care to sick or injured persons per assessment and treatment protocols and within the scope of professional licensure. You will also maintain and operate medical equipment such as EKGs, electronic defibrillators and bag-valve mask resuscitators and interview patients to determine extent of medical problem or condition to establish and prioritize medical procedures following internal protocols and documents in charts. Other tasks include administering drugs orally or by injection and performing intravenous procedures under a mid-level practitioner or nurse and performing audiometric testing, calibration and drug screening.

High School Diploma or GED
Paramedic- National Registry of Emergency Technicians
Basic Life Support Certification (BLS)
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
At least 2 years of direct patient care work experience in a Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Occupational Health, Emergency Medicine, Primary Care or Urgent Care health center setting
