Position Overview:

QuadMed provides workplace solutions on a national level to employers of all sizes. Our clinics provide medical, laboratory, pharmacy, fitness, and rehabilitation services along with coordinated care through relationships with local hospitals, providers, and specialists.

The Dental Receptionist is part of the team dedicated to providing comprehensive, accessible care and innovative practices focusing on wellness and prevention. The Dental Receptionist provides support with daily activities of a dental office including greeting patients, telephone coverage, appointment scheduling, patient registration, and patient referrals. This position answers the telephone and either responds to inquiry, directs caller to appropriate personnel, or initiates a triage email for response by dental personnel. Schedules appointments and enters appointment date and time into computerized scheduler. Reviews patients treatment plans with them and collect copayments.

The Dental Receptionist must be cognizant of the expectations and concerns of QuadMed's dental patients and be able to respond in an empathetic and professional manner.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must have high school diploma or equivalent

  • Receptionist and/or health care industry experience preferred

  • Excellent customer service skills required

  • Ability to be a team player, detail oriented, accurate, and efficient

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work in a fast paced-environment and work well under pressure

  • Ability to be patient, possess compassion and uphold HIPAA standards

  • Dental Terminology preferred

  • Qualified candidates should have a minimum of 1-3 years' experience

Dentrix software knowledge is a plus but not a requirement

Employment in this position is contingent upon successfully passing all QuadMed pre-employment, as well as any specific checks required for your access to client sites.

Required Skills * One year certified dental assistant program; or * Six months on-the-job experience; or * High school diploma and demonstrated ability to assume dental assistant responsibilities. * Current dental assistant license is required in certain states. * Demonstrate a working knowledge of dental records and documentation. * Ability to perform basic computer functions. * Comply with protocols and standards. * Exercise knowledge of dental instruments and terminology. * Support shared vision and values.
