Midland Residential Center is hiring for PRN CNAs and CMAs

Summary:

Midland Care Residential CNAs provide patient care under the clinical supervision of a registered nurse, as identified in the patients written plan of care, and in accordance with organization policies and procedures. CMAs fulfill medication orders; to administer medications in an accurate and timely manner, while ensuring compliance with federal, state and local requirements.

Employment Status: PRN - Flexible 12-hour shifts

Pay Rate: $18.90

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Establishes therapeutic relationships with clients and families from a variety of cultural, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.

• Uses effective communication skills to act as a companion and provide emotional support to clients and families.

• Uses interpersonal skills that promote interdisciplinary collaboration and communication.

• Provides emotional support to clients and families in a manner that fosters independence and affirms existing strengths.

• Participates in the orientation of new members of the team and students.

• Maintains flexibility in schedule and responds to unexpected patient care needs and changes in workload and location of work as directed.

Qualifications

Required: Current Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) or Certified Medication Aide (CMA) certification. Must possess a valid Kansas Drivers License, in force automobile liability insurance and maintain a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) that meets organizations insurability standard as defined by Midland policy. Availability of reliable transportation is required for this position.

Preferred: One year experience as CNA or CMA preferred. CMA, demonstrable knowledge in medication administration.
