Assist the research coordinator and other staff with completing protocol procedures and processing laboratory samples for shipment. Promote good clinical practices (GCP) in the conduct of clinical investigations.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform medical diagnostic tests such as electrocardiograms, blood pressure checks, glucose measurements, etc.

  • Collect and process blood and urine samples per protocol requirements

  • Professionally interact with subjects, visitors, staff, and other healthcare professionals

  • Maintain nurse's station inventory

  • Sanitize and stock treatment rooms and subject bedrooms

  • Dispose of and replace biohazard waste in lab and exam rooms per OSHA requirements

  • Perform administrative tasks as needed

  • Troubleshoot any study issues

  • Order and prepare lunch for subjects as needed

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed

  • Reading, understanding and adhering to organizational Standard Operating Procedures ("SOP")
  • Assisting in establishing and enforcing departmental standards

  • Performing other duties as assigned

Maintains Technical and Industry Knowledge by

  • Attending and participating in applicable company-sponsored training



High School diploma or GED Transcript required

EMT and BLS certification required

Work Hours/Shifts: Monday – Thursday; 8:30a – 5:30p / Friday; 8:30am – 3pm Job Summary: The Clinical Research Support Assistant is responsible for administrative and clinical research office support of the research department, to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Organizes, coordinates, and supports the day-to-day activities of the research team (Principal Investigators (P-I), Sub-Investigators (Sub-I), Clinical Research Nurse, Research Study Coordinators, volunteers, and customers) involved in clinical research. Leads the recruiting needs of specific protocols and works with the team to meet those goals. Coordinates and interfaces with IRB, ORA, and pharmaceutical sponsors. Adheres to the Florida Hospital Corporate Compliance Plan and to all rules and regulations of applicable local, state and federal agencies and regulatory bodies. Actively participates in excellent customer service and accepts responsibilities for maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
