Job purpose

As the North American PAM Liaison, you'll bridge the gap between security and operational efficiency. As a trusted advisor and advocate for secure access, you'll collaborate with stakeholders across departments to implement and enforce PAM policies and procedures, ensuring seamless integration with business needs. Your expertise in security best practices and user experience will be instrumental in crafting a balanced and sustainable PAM program for the region. By partnering with service owners, you'll champion the security control of PAM across governance, architecture, and ensure a highly available PAM environment for North America.

The scope of this role is providing Network Security, Engineering & Operations services to 2 critical business environments: Enterprise IT (Offices, Data Centers, End User Devices), Manufacturing OT (Plants, Distribution Centers, Robots, IoT sensors) throughout the North America Region.

Key Accountabilities

Identity and Access Management: Knowledge of security administration; ability to manage access to computers, infrastructure, networks and applications.

  • Manages the life cycle of users in the PAM system, creates and maintains credentials and secrets, and implements least privilege storage and delegation of access to secured objects.

  • Contributes to overall design and long-term strategy of the Privileged Access and Identity Management program.

  • Monitors the environment and automated alerts to ensure the services are up and running.

  • Operates Honda NA assigned PAM services tasks in accordance to service agreement with MSSP.

  • Provides operation support to workforce (employees, contractors, third parties) identities and the access they require.

Cybersecurity Expertise: Knowledge of the processes, tools and techniques in the cybersecurity domain; ability to deploy and monitor cybersecurity measures, while detecting, controlling and preventing cybersecurity breaches. Knowledge of Tools, Techniques, and Procedures (TTP) of the IAM domain; understand the risk-based approach to security controls to manage the impact of cybersecurity events, incidents, and breaches.

  • Follows procedures for the handling of cybersecurity incidents and vulnerabilities.

  • Participates in activities to secure the enterprise network, manage enterprise assets and respond to cyber incidents

Issues Management and Remediation: Knowledge of techniques and processes for issues management and remediation; ability to identify any error or fault and correcting them in a timely manner.

  • Provides triaging support for resolving critical incidents.

  • Serves as a subject matter expert and leads major incidents calls, performs advanced troubleshooting and restores services to normalcy.

  • Analyzes root causes for deficiencies and suggests sustainable corrective actions.

Technical Excellence: Knowledge of a given technology and various application methods; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges.

  • Leads, develops, and coaches a small team of global Senior Security Engineers by providing technical expertise for service delivery.

  • Serves as technical subject matter expert for the Privileged access management (PAM) solution delivery.

  • Authors and maintains documentation procedures, inventories, and diagrams for PAM systems and processes.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or Information Technology Management with 2+ years of experience in Cybersecurity,

  • In lieu of a degree, 5+ years of experience in Cybersecurity or other related fields.

  • Desired Certifications (any): CompTIA: Security+, GIAC: GSEC, IMI: CIAM, or ISC2: Certified in Cybersecurity

Other qualifying skills:

  • Applicant should be a US person, under the prevailing guidelines.

  • Understanding of IAM concepts like: SAML, OpenID, OAuth, Authentication, Authorization, Identity Life Cycle management etc.

  • Ability to translate understanding of the organization's goals and objectives into compliance requirements.

  • Team oriented and skilled in working within a collaborative environment.

  • Troubleshooting acumen, Decision making prowess, and critical thinking.

  • Communicating for Impact: Knowledge of the concepts, tools and techniques for effective listening and communicating; ability to apply these theories to receive, transmit and accurately interpret information and ideas to influence others in various situations.

  • Conceptual Thinking: Knowledge of thinking and reasoning at a conceptual level; ability to identify the critical ideas and interdependencies among system elements that impact performance.

  • Influencing: Knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies; ability to impact decisions within and outside own organization.

  • Information Technology Trends: Knowledge of marketplace experience, developments and trends related to the organization's use of Information Technology (IT); ability to apply knowledge of IT appropriately to benefit the organization.

  • Knowledge of Organization: Knowledge of the organization's vision, structure, culture, philosophy, operating principles, values, and code of ethics; ability to understand the value of aligning capabilities with business goals to support optimal performance.

  • Stakeholder Management: Knowledge of stakeholder management techniques; ability to systematically identify stakeholders, analyze their needs and expectations, and implement various tasks to engage with them.

  • Information Security Technologies: Knowledge of technologies and technology-based solutions dealing with information security issues; ability to protect information security across the organization using encryption technologies and appropriate security software.

  • Compliance and Assurance: Knowledge of compliance and assurance processes, regulations and standards involving different systems; ability to facilitate the processes and assess and enhance the organization's internal controls with evolving compliance standards.

  • Cybersecurity Standards and Policies: Knowledge of developing cybersecurity policies, standards and procedures; ability to develop and communicate policies, standards and procedures that guide interactions with customers.

  • Computer Access Control Protocols: Knowledge of Computer Access Control Protocols and authentication methods. Ability to apply these protocols for identification, authorization, authentication, access approval, and audit.
