Position Summary:

The Relationship Manager serves as the primary contact for clients providing world-class client service, technical expertise and proactive risk management.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Provide proactive day-to-day client service by anticipating and evaluating client needs and responding to client questions and issues in person, via email or by telephone

  • Review client exposures, loss experience along with current coverages and advise and counsel on complex risk exposures

  • Create and present private risk management renewal proposals to existing clients and conduct annual interactive reviews, when needed

  • Understand, introduce and leverage the holistic platform, as needed, including employee benefits, commercial insurance and asset protection

  • Cultivate strong relationships with insurance company partners, and be accountable for knowing insurer contracts, requirements and attributes

  • Maintain a concern for accuracy, timeliness and completion when interacting with clients, the firm and insurance company partners to minimize potential for errors and omissions claims

  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills with high attention to detail

  • Look for opportunities to improve the firm, business segment and processes. Bring issues and discrepancies to appropriate leadership

Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities

  • 3+ years of experience in personal insurance, including insurance company contracts and guidelines, proprietary insurer systems, and claim knowledge.

  • Strong experience working with high net worth clients is preferred

  • College degree and/or professional designations preferred, e.g., CPCU, CIC, etc.

  • Strong presentation skills, both verbal and written communications

  • Moderate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Ability to learn appropriate insurance company and firm software systems, including Sagitta and ImageRight

  • Current Florida 2-20 License, as required by the State Department of Insurance to provide risk management consulting or risk transfer solutions as necessary in states where the firm functions, or be willing and able to obtain all required licenses within the first 90 days of employment

  • Demonstrates firm's core values, exuding behavior that is aligned with corporate culture

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Develop and execute a targeted prospect marketing plan focused to achieve new client relationships. Responsible for meeting assigned deposit, fee and loan-based revenue goals within established timeframes. * Retain and expand existing client relationships. Deliver solutions to clients across functional areas, ensuring that relationships are fully developed. Provide elite customer service by providing timely and accurate responses and problem resolution. * Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing and potential client relationships to meet the needs of both the client/prospect and the Bank. * Find opportunities for the expansion of business relationship by using a consultative approach with clients and introducing products and services to meet the client's needs. * Expedite the resolution of client issues to provide banking a Fifth Third Better. * Understand all Compliance and documentation requirements for various client activities, including onboarding, new account opening, change of management company, closure of accounts and others. * Maintain a strong understanding of credit policies and procedures in order to maintain acceptable credit quality and provide advice and recommendations for loan structure and pricing. * Remain proficient with loan input to internal loan platform to ensure credit requests are complete and meet minimum standards for credit quality. Ensure loan requests are submitted in a timely manner. * Continually develop knowledge of the business climate and competition for defined geography and accounts. * Accountable for accurate and timely input of all client communications in the CRM system. * Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational seminars, local conferences, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal business networks and participating in professional organizations. * Represent Fifth Third Bank in various civic, community and association organizations to identify and develop new clients and enhance Fifth Third Bank's image. MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED: * Bachelor's or master's degree in Business (e.g. Business Administration, Finance, Accounting) or Equivalent work experience preferred. * Minimum of 7 years Commercial deposit management experience, in a sales role required. * Formalized commercial credit training or equivalent credit experience required. * Underwriting experience preferred. * Proven track record of partnership with investment bankers to provide strategic and capital market advice. * Proven ability to build new and existing client business translating to increased revenue and provide a positive client experience. * Strong business acumen, to include detailed analysis, review of financial statements and understanding of accounting principles. * Thorough knowledge of deposit products and treasury management services. * Ability to assess client needs, drivers of profitability, and corporate/personal life cycle optimizing financial solutions. * Communicates with impact to a group - Understands the audience and adjust communication as is appropriate level of detail for the audience; captures and holds the audience attention. * Ability to build strong internal partnerships to provide holistic solutions for client's business and personal financial goals. * Proven track record of identification and understanding of business issues and opportunities and the ability to create relevant options for addressing opportunities to achieve desired outcomes. * Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills, with emphasis on experience in face-to-face negotiations. * Proven ability to work in a team-based sales environment. * Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office software; familiarity with prospecting and CRM sales tools preferred. * Regional /local travel. * All the above duties and responsibilities are essential job functions for which reasonable accommodation will be made.
