Full-Time In-Home Private Duty LPN - Night Shifts

Location: Maryville, TN 37804 (Patient's Home)

Schedule: Sunday, Monday, and Thursday from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM

Job Description:

Adoration Health is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a full-time private duty night shift role in Maryville, TN. This position involves providing specialized care to a pediatric patient in their home environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide compassionate, personalized care to a 5-year-old patient.

• Implement seizure precautions and manage feeding needs.

• Administer medications as prescribed.

• Assist with patient transfers and provide necessary suctioning.

• Monitor oxygen levels and maintain oxygen precautions.

• Conduct skilled nursing assessments and assist with activities of daily living (ADLs).

• Provide constant supervision to ensure patient safety due to fall risk.

Requirements:

• Current LPN license.

• Experience with pediatric care, g-tube management, and seizure precautions is preferred.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

• Compassionate and patient-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Perform selected nursing procedures within the scope of LPN practice

• Provide patient and family teaching according to plan outlined by the RN

• Monitor patient's vital signs and make specific measurements and observations

• Monitor and record intake and output. Report significant changes immediately

• Observe, assess and record patient's physical and mental condition and reports any changes

• Administer medications as instructed and as ordered by the physician and instructed by the RN and document the patient's file accordingly

• Attend and participate in multi-disciplinary patient case conferences, staff meetings and in-service education programs as assigned

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse / LPN license in good standing

• Previous private duty, home health, hospice, hospital or skilled nursing experience preferred

• Active CPR certification

• Familiarity with electronic health records

• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills

• Reliable transportation, valid driver's license and current automobile insurance
