8+ years Software Defined Network Engineering experience with software development capability using Python, Ansible, Go or modern programming language
Architecture and design experience with Software Defined Networking (SDN) and Network Function Virtualization (NFV)
Knowledge of basic OS features like Multi-threading, virtualization, synchronization and memory management on Linux or Linux-like Operating systems
Excellent understanding of IPv4/v6 routing and switching, advanced network communication protocols such as BGP, MPLS, QoS, VRF, GRE, VxLAN, EVPN, IPSec, VPN, Multicast, Segment Routing, ACLs, and PBR
Experience with hardware and transmission technologies (WAN and transport, routing, firewalls, LAN/VLANs switches, SDN, optical fiber, etc.).
Excellent knowledge of Network Automation and Orchestration platforms using OpenConfig, RESTconf, Netconf, and YANG modeling Hands-on experience with software release management in Agile environment using pipelines
Excellent knowledge & experience of Juniper, Arista, Cisco, Palo Alto, F5 and similar companies in the security firewall and load balancer space.
Familiarity with service discovery and service mesh tools such as Consul and istio.
Familiarity with wireless access technologies such as: WiFi, LTE and satellite communications characteristics and their impact on network protocol and architecture design
Familiarity with cloud services IaaS, PaaS, AWS & Google Cloud
Knowledge and experience with scripting languages as well as IAC and configuration management tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Salt etc etc.
Possess a DevOps mindset
BSEE/BSCS or technical Bachelor's degree Up to 10% domestic and international travel Preferences
Experience developing IP/MPLS core network in a service provider environment
Strong background in data structures and algorithm design
Familiarity with OpenDayLight, tail-f, Dis-aggregated Network OS (DNOS), WhiteBox development, uCPEs, ONAP.ORG are strong pluses
Juniper, Arista or Cisco certification at least one vendor certification track through the professional tier(expert tier preferred but not required)
Proficient in software development tools, source code control environment
Accountable for end-to-end functional/solution design for product features
Proven ability to work and problem solve independently/collaboratively, to organize workload and priorities, high-quality execution, technical innovation/adoption, and initiative
