Brief Description: Provides first line sales and service support for Private Banking Clients. Partners with one or more Private Bank Relationship Managers to support the sales process and deliver exceptional service model to high net worth clients.

Detailed Description

  • Private Banking Service Specialist II is responsible for the day to day activities and interaction between the client and Huntington in terms of establishment, documentation, maintenance and servicing of the relationship, including but not limited to: personal and business deposit accounts, consumer lending and mortgages.

  • Works directly with the client and/or relationship manager to obtain related applicant and financial information or other documentation (i.e. trust documents, insurance policies, business documents, etc.) needed for new accounts or loans and servicing requests. May advise clients on the best account options for their needs.

  • Makes routine decisions in the absence of an officer.

  • May attend client or prospect meetings, presentations and events with an officer or independently.

  • Responsible for processing consumer loan requests; prepares and submit overrules. Service Specialist II has more in depth understanding of product options, guidelines, pricing and credit policy. Closes loans as needed without banker present.

  • Services customers by providing detailed information on specific accounts and building rapport. Responsible for identifying, researching, analyzing and resolving complex problems with accounts.

  • Cross sells bank products and services including referring customers to appropriate personnel and scheduling appointments for bankers.

  • Assist relationship managers with managing their pipelines, including: submitting referrals, entering opportunities, managing stages and tasks, etc.

  • Service Specialist II is responsible for processing customer transaction requests (consumer and commercial). Additionally, will complete related audits and tasks (when applicable) such as: cashier's check audits, cash audits, ordering cash, alarm testing, key audits, etc.

  • Maintains up to date knowledge and may train others on products, services, departmental systems and related technology, policies and procedures. Responsible for focus and awareness of identifying, assessing and managing risk and adhering to policy and procedure acknowledgements. Participate in identifying issues of concern and keeping department management informed as needed.

  • Other duties include answering telephones, filing and maintaining documentation.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • 3 or more years banking experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Will obtain notary license

  • Bachelor degree preferred

  • Microsoft Suite Proficient

  • Very strong interpersonal skills

  • Excellent in customer service, highly motivated, focused and goal oriented

  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, including professional grammar and demeanor

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, planning and follow-up

  • Is able to work independently

  • Administrative support experience within financial service industry preferred

Position Overview: The Client Care Specialist (CSS) III is a highly skilled and tenured CCS responsible for guiding the customer throughout the process which will include requesting documentation, following up on conditions and effectively communicating terms and conditions. In addition, CCS is responsible for hitting CSAT, Cycle time, compliance and production goals and standards. CCS will build strong relationships and responsible for Chase Private Client (CPC), Government loans(FHA/VA), escalated loans as well as work with customer to gather documents for initial approval. Key Responsibilities: * Ability to partner with peers inside and outside workgroups (Sales, UW, Support, Operations) for effective file resolution * Mentors/acts as subject matter experts for CCS I and CCS II * Establish yourself as the trusted and strategic team member to drive continued value for the customer * Act as the champion for the customer and provide white glove customer service to our CPC customers. Always be a true advocate for the customer, escalate potential issues or concerns * Customer obsessed focus in order to meet monthly customer satisfaction targets * Ability to give advice and information to structure the loan to fit customer's purpose and provide white glove customer service to our Chase Private Client (CPC) customers. * Clearly explain reasons for any change or decision on application * Ability to take ownership of all support functions within the process in an effort to move loans forward. These functions include but are not limited to. VVOE, WVOE, payoff, HOI, Title review, Credit supplements, CD's * Successfully able to process Employee Loans & FHA, VA loans * Establish trust and certainty with our customers by following through on commitments * Successfully able to process Employee Loans & FHA, VA loans * Adherence to all regulatory and compliance requirements * Achieves satisfactory quality audit results – pre-doc draw reviews * Achieves satisfactory call and email regulatory and compliance reviews * Meet both daily and monthly production targets as defined funded units and percentage of pipeline closed (Cycle Time, Production, CSAT goals and standards). Qualifications: * Minimum of 4- years of mortgage exp. * High School diploma or equivalent is required, bachelor's degree preferred Excellent Working knowledge of mortgage originations, specifically mortgage operations. * Clear understanding of Credit, income and asset docs needed for conditional approval * Government training for FHA and VA required * Proven track record of proposing solutions to problems and utilizes available resources * Strong Pipeline management skills * Excellent customer Service skills * Pro-certified or CD Mortgage expert training preferred (internal applicants only) This position is subject to the Dodd Frank/Truth in Lending Act qualification requirements for Loan Originators.
