General Summary
Capital City Trust Company is committed to expanding its services in new and existing markets by having dedicated Private Bankers in high growth areas of Florida and Georgia.
The Private Banker is responsible for acquiring, developing and managing relationships with wealthy and HNW clients. Utilize objective and sound financial planning to provide comprehensive wealth management advice and solutions. Private Banker will manage the banking and credit solutions, and partner with Wealth associates to deliver investment management, trust and insurance solutions.
The Private Banker is responsible for developing new business and promoting Capital City Trust Company and Wealth Management services. Calls on potential or existing clients to develop new business and increase or retain existing business. Must be able to meet established sales and growth goals. Cultivates and maintains relationships with numerous professionals, to include key members of the estate planning community including attorneys and CPA's. Maintains an ongoing relationship with existing clients and develops additional business as well as managing the ongoing operational experience for the client. Keeps the organization informed concerning the status of new business accounts in process. Participates in community activities to enhance the position of Capital City Bank.
This position requires the associate to drive on behalf of the Bank and the associate must adhere to Bank's Motor Vehicle Guidelines (may require increased minimum limits and therefore an increase in premiums.)
In compliance with the S.A.F.E. Act, registration in the NMLS Registry is required.
All associates at Capital City Bank have access to confidential client information, and must practice discretion at all times.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Serves as a primary relationship manager for banking and credit solutions, and partners with Wealth and Trust associates to provide comprehensive wealth, trust and insurance solutions.
Initiates contacts for developing and closing new business through referrals from clients and Centers of Influence, personal community involvement and from internal partners.
Meets with prospects and clients to develop deep knowledge of clients' needs through discovery and financial planning.
Keeps informed of all changes in CCTC and Wealth policies and is aware of changes and developments in trust law and rulings, taxes, insurance, real estate and other activities that might affect clients or Capital City Bank.
Serves as key liaison to other areas supporting the management of the relationship.
Plans and manages the new account on boarding process, including documentation and funding supported by account opening.
Educates clients including individuals, families, and business leaders on the critical elements of financial planning including estate plans, insurance strategies, portfolio management, retirement planning, and cash management.
Provides an overview of client reporting and web capabilities to potential new clients.
Assists on projects related to new business development and strategic planning.

Associates will consistently follow policies and procedures as established by Capital City Bank, with department managers setting the standard.
Associated Duties
Maintains knowledge and understanding of current economic and investment environments and trends as well as financial and estate planning strategies.
Leads or participates in divisional efforts to improve efficiencies.
Serves as coach and mentor, where applicable.
Provides additional support to manager and department colleagues.
Completes all assigned/required Bank training within established timelines.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs) Required
The following KSAs are usually acquired through college education with emphasis in investment discipline and/or professional certification and three to five years relevant experience:
Proven business development experience and service ability required
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and think clearly under pressure
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Team player
Detail-oriented
Knowledge of Windows technology (Outlook, Excel and Word)
Series 7 and 66 preferred
Must adhere to Bank's Motor Vehicle Guidelines.
Education
Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business or accounting from an accredited college required. Five to ten years as a Private Banker, Wealth Advisor, or Financial Planner with background in management, business administration, and Trust services preferred. Relevant experience may substitute for the education requirement. CFP designation and Series 7 and 66, a plus.
Working Conditions
1.Professional/corporate office environment.
2.Frequent travel, after-hour events and generally, more than standard 40 hours per week.
3.Driving as required by position.
4.In the rare instance of a major or extensive natural disaster, epidemic or pandemic occurrence, or other disruption within our footprint, it may be necessary for associates to relocate or telecommute before, during or after, to ensure business continuity.
