ABOUT AARA: Arizona Arthritis & Rheumatology is the largest private Rheumatology practice in the United States. The practice has 45 providers, 9 sites and over 200 employees providing assessment and treatments for rheumatological, podiatric and electromyography patients.

We are seeking a new member of our team to work in our Phoenix Administration Department as the Infusion Authorization Manager. At AARA the Infusion Department is responsible for 3 key things, we are seeking an Authorization Manager to organize, oversee, and manage the success of the Infusion Coordinators in conjunction with all 3:

A. Infusion Patient Communication (before and after infusion appointments)

B. Infusion Referrals and Authorization for Treatment

C. Infusion Scheduling / Rescheduling

Coordinates the daily and long-term strategic operations of Infusion Staff through close interaction with the Director of Infusion.

Assist in developing, implementing, and revising policies and procedures to assure that everyone within the infusion room adheres to the high standards of patient care.

Assists in hiring qualified team members serving as a catalyst and mentor for motivating productivity, innovation, high employee morale and commitment to the organization

Assist with regular staff meetings to communicate new ideas, resolve problems, obtain feedback and maintain the overall effectiveness of the staff

Directly supervises infusion coordinator team members and proactively manages their performance and development including but not limited to performance feedback, appraisals, and corrective actions

Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate new ideas, resolve problems, obtain feedback and maintain the overall effectiveness of infusion staff

Responds to employee grievances, complaints, and inquiries and seeks assistance when necessary

Knows HIPAA and other required laws.

Requirements

The successful candidate must have some management experience
Proficient knowledge of medical terminology
Superior leadership, problem-solving, team building, and decision-making skills
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Proficient computer software and database skills
Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment

VIEW JOBS 1/7/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-04-07T00:00 The Pharmacy Technician processes written and telephone requested services by providers for Health Choice members within established timeframes, following Health Choice criteria and guidelines. This position also completes data entry and provider notification to ensure timely service to members and answers a high volume of calls within contract-mandated timeframes. Answer prior authorization/pharmacy calls Review prior authorization requests: * Review requests based on current medication formulary and Health Choice established guidelines * If determination is not made, forward PA request to Supervisor/Manager * Contact referring provider to obtain additional information needed to make determination * Fax decisions to requesting providers * Enter appropriate authorizations and notify provider of approval * Document criteria met in electronic medical record system * Complete processing within established timeframes * Process incoming faxes Assist other departments with Prior Authorization needs: Assist Utilization Review Nurses with obtaining authorizations and coordinating care for discharge planning, forward appropriate referrals to case management. * Enter authorizations for nurses for discharge care * Collaborate with MCH and Behavioral Health staff for pharmacy-related requests * Assist Member Services with formulary questions and pharmacy requests * Assist Disputes/Appeals department with pharmacy-related information during appeals process Provide ongoing education and training to physician's offices and facilities: * Inform offices of any updated or changed policies and procedures or changes to the formulary * Ensure all physicians and facilities are educated on proper authorization procedures as well as new pharmacy guidelines * Educate providers regarding Medicare benefits Health Choice exists to improve the health and well-being of the individuals we serve through our health plans, integrated delivery systems and managed care solutions.
