Bindery Operator (Printing Services Tech III)

Operates multiple types of bindery equipment in a large print shop. Assists in the operation of the digital printing department.

Performs other duties as assigned. Essential Job Functions:

Attends work on a regular and predictable schedule in accordance with agency leave policy. Reads and accurately follows instructions from job ticket.

Sets up and operates bindery equipment to complete jobs with minimal waste. Accurately records production time on job ticket. Boxes and labels completed jobs.

Assists in the digital printing department loading and unloading machines. Punches and coil binds jobs as required. Records production data in log. Knowledge Skills Abilities:

Knowledge of printing and bindery functions. Skill with the set up and operation of large cutters, booklet makers, folders, collators and stitchers.

Ability to follow written and oral instructions. Ability to lift 30 pounds. Ability to stand/walk on hard floors for extended period of time.

Ability to work harmoniously and productively with co-workers. Ability to work irregular hours. Ability to maintain accurate records.

Ability to make basic mathematical computations and tabulations. Accepts constructive criticism and suggestions and uses them to improve performance. Offers suggestions to solve problems or improve operations. Registration or Licensure


N/A Initial Selection Criteria:
2 years experience operating bindery equipment. Set up and operating Stahl booklet maker a plus. Additional Information:
