Position Summary:

This position is responsible for executing all aspects of the print production processs and maintaining all client quality expectations. It plans, executes and cooridinates the printing of marketing matierals for multiple brands. This includes the supply chain process for all production requirements from planning, specifications, quoting, fulfillment and on-time delivery.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Brand and Creative teams in early planning for efficiency and optimal printed results

  • Create and provide print production schedules to the Creative Project Managers and communicate these schedule expectations to the vendors

  • Process work flow through LSI OneMarket P2P platform (bids, POs, COs, Invoices)

  • Develop and disperse accurate prepress and print specs to outside vendors for all projects

  • Bid and negotiate quotes on all printing projects without rate cards and provide final costs in WorkFront system

  • Review and approve (route when necessary) prepress and printer proofs

  • Process and track mock-ups, prototypes and templates between vendors and internal customers

  • Attend press checks when requested for color critical projects to ensure optimum color standards are maintained

  • Manage and maintain client print budgets, deadlines and overall quality standards

  • Work proactively with vendors to ensure continuous improvement and optimal production solutions for new and existing print management processes

  • Maintain proficient knowledge of printing and paper technology to offer optimal solutions

  • Responsible for working closely with the Fulfillment Manager on schedules, pack/ship lists and inventoried items

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

  • Ability to handle multiple types of print production projects (four-color, offset litho - web and sheet-fed, screen printing, large format, digital, in-store signage, direct mail, finishing, kitting, fulfillment)

  • Strong project management skills, including demonstrated track record in managing multiple projects with strong attention to detail, ability to react quickly and problem solving attitude

  • Demonstrated ability to understand creative challenges and recommend effective implementation of production plans designed to achieve success within assigned budget

  • Flexibility to manage competing priorities and to shift focus as determined by changing business priorities or creative direction

  • Must be an organized and motivated self-starter with strong interpersonal and communication skills who thrives on working in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented team environment

  • Experience with direct mail and postal regulations a big plus

  • Experience directing prepress color correction and retouching a plus

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills, keen attention to detail

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, familiar with Adobe Creative Suite

  • 5-7 years of print production management experience in marketing and/or advertising environment

  • 4-year bachelor's degree (preferably in Graphics or Print Mgt) or equivalent experience

Travel:

This position travels up to 10% of the time.
