The Print Production Manager will be responsible for all aspects of production, purchasing, and execution of print jobs. This person will work with suppliers, internal team members, and external stakeholders to ensure projects are purchased and executed in a way that ensures quality and competitive pricing, across a high volume of complex projects.

responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of production on behalf of the client, working with vendors on delivery timetables and maintaining updated status of assigned projects

  • Build relationships with clients and develop communication channels to ensure smooth workflow

  • Liaison between internal stakeholders, agencies, and suppliers to ensure quality, on-time delivery within budget

  • Gather job requirements and perform procurement and project management for projects

  • Manage the client's jobs on-budget, on-time, and with the highest level of service and quality

  • Enter all specifications into PPM4/VALO to prepare request for bid specifications, and send to selected vendors

  • Maintain accurate price quotation data in PPM4/VALO for all projects and vendors

  • Investigate potential suppliers and recommend the best based on manufacturing limitations, supplier facilities, and schedule availability

  • Develop program strategies which are both beneficial and economical for the client

  • Work with internal stakeholders and agencies to derive cost efficiencies for print projects and/or campaigns

  • Analyze job revenue, cost, and profitability by job or project, and create quarterly and yearly analysis and reports

  • Identify and present additional production solutions to clients

requirements

  • 3+ years of print production experience

  • Proven record of successful print purchasing experience in a manufacturing, client, or agency environment

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline or equivalent work experience

  • Proven project management skills

  • Experience negotiating job costs and schedules with suppliers and vendors

  • Highly proficient with MS Office software, especially Excel

  • Entrepreneurial minded with an internal drive to continuously hit goals and succeed

  • Experience excelling within fast paced, high energy environments

Responsibilities * Ability to work independently and is responsible for the organization and delivery of multiple print and communications related programs and projects of medium-large to moderate-complexity that represents cross organizational initiatives. Manage projects within framework, utilize company and industry standards, methodologies and tools. Accountable for project estimating and scheduling, vendor relationships, communications, risk assessment, contingency planning. * Inform leadership with updates and escalate critical issues. Provide leadership to programs and projects to ensure timely delivery. Manage material and inventory systems. Ensure accuracy and timeliness of daily fulfillment orders. Resolve issues in a timely manner. Responsible for ensuring all electronic collateral is properly uploaded (eCat and Organize). Create cost benefits analysis and models to support business transformation saves/voids. * Manage various intake processes and tools for multiple print and communication strategies. Work effectively with business partners, vendors, technology, and project management teams to develop business requirements, schedules, price models, reporting requirements, and controls. * Conduct vendor visits, managing press checks, assembly checks, and audits. Provide proactive strategic recommendations, on pricing, process, lean initiatives, and quality, to ensure the appropriate integration and delivery of communication programs and projects. * Strong ability to lead, partner, and influence change across all leadership levels. Identify and remove barriers in the best interest of the enterprise. Assist leadership on identifying industry trends. Is assigned to departmental and organizational initiatives. Share knowledge in a leaderful manner with peers and leadership. Required Qualifications * Bachelor's degree or equivalent. * 5-7 years of relevant experience. * Highly skilled in all aspects of print operations, project & process management. * Proficient in Excel & MicroSoft programs. * Excellent presentation, written & verbal communications skill. * Understanding of U.S.P.S regulations. * Proven organizational & detail-oriented skills.
