Print Production Manager

Under general direction, the Print Production Manager will perform a variety of technical and support services involving printing and production operations, maintain production schedules, and perform related duties as assigned.

The Specifics of the Role:

• Operates printing production equipment as needed

• Coordinates, schedules, facilitates, and monitors printing and production services.

• Organizes and implements a production work schedule for processing requests

• Maintains database and job log for assigned projects.

• Provides direction and support during interruptions to accommodate emergency requests

• Maintains production schedule to ensure the timely delivery of print jobs.

• Inspects and verifies that completed projects meet quality standards.

• Maintains inventory of paper, bindery supplies, toner, and other consumables

• Orders supplies and verifies accuracy of billing.

• Obtains quotes for any outside print work as needed.

• Provides consultation and assistance to clients regarding the printing production process.

• Receives, sorts, ships and retrieves jobsite documents to storage and maintains Project Index log of inventory.

• Acts as a technical resource in advisory capacity

• Will stand in, back up and assist with Building Manager duties as needed

• Performs other related duties commensurate with the requirements of the printing and production department

• Other ad hoc duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:

• Any combination of education, training, and experience which demonstrates ability to perform the duties and responsibilities as described.

• Customer service experience

• Ability to follow machine safety instructions.

• Basic knowledge of computer software programs and skills

• Effectively communicate in both oral and written forms with individuals from various backgrounds

• Work independently with minimal supervision.
