Job Description

American Master Products, Inc., (Jerry Baker) is seeking a Print Production Coordinator for our publishing and direct mail business. The Print Production Coordinator will assist the department in requesting competitive bids from various printers for books, as well as direct mail marketing materials. Job includes coordinating and prioritizing production schedules and print specifications. The Coordinator will also review and approve all artwork and copy prior to going to print and after delivery for accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the production of printed materials and preparation of files for print.
  • Review graphics, layouts, print specs, and fonts before products are completed.
  • Proofreading as needed.
  • Prioritize deadlines and tasks to ensure delivery deadlines are met.
  • Produce requests for quote and purchase orders with regional printers.
  • Operate effectively as a member of the Print and Creative Production team.
  • Work on multiple projects, quickly and efficiently.
  • Administrative tasks as assigned.

Skills Required

  • Solid knowledge of the printing process
  • Understanding of both digital and offset printing, including prepress requirements
  • Ability to follow along with standardized workflow and procedures
  • Detail oriented
  • Math and problem solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple deadlines efficiently
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Articulate written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, specifically Excel and Word
  • Ability to work respectfully and effectively with other staff members and to take direction as necessary


  • BS/BA degree preferred
  • Minimum 2-years professional experience a plus

Responsibilities * Safely operate and maintain manual and /or Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machining equipment (band saws, mills, lathes, grinders), within the production process, used to produce metal testing samples * Machine different grades of steels / alloys into a variety of test samples with close tolerances, using inspection tools such as calipers and micrometers to verify compliance * Read and interpret basic sketches and prints * Set-up, operate, and monitor machinery to ensure production is completed within deadlines * Maintain cleanliness of equipment and assigned areas, using strict 5s practices * Work week usually consists of 40-55 hours, including some Saturdays Skills / Qualifications * Minimum of two years of technical/vocational training in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience * Must have valid Driver's License, or ability to obtain prior to beginning employment * Work under strict time restraints, multi-task, and maintain good records * Strong organizational skills, with the ability to adapt and prioritize within a high production environment * Well developed oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interact/communicate professionally with employees and customers * Ability to remain calm when faced with mounting pressure related to deadlines and multiple priorities This position requires access to export-controlled commodities, technical data, technology, software, and services.
