About the team:

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a team helping to create a supportive, friendly, and professional atmosphere while utilizing some of the most advanced print and mail equipment on the market.

What you will be doing:

In this role you will performs high speed, high volume production tasks such as printing and inserting to process checks, cards and inserts. While performing those tasks you will also be setting up equipment, loading materials, clearing jams and other simple malfunctions as needed. You'll have the opportunity and the responsibility for training and assisting less-experienced operators. This may designate you as a lead on team and serve as back-up in the absence of supervisor.

  • Maintain productivity on all machines and deliver a quality product while meeting all production deadlines.

  • Follow company operational procedures and policies for printing and inserting to produce both accurate and quality work in a timely manner.

  • Pay close attention to detail when printing and inserting client files according to client specific set-up instructions.

  • Complete and maintain operator reports and logs including output and productivity.

  • Maintain an accurate check, insert and postage logs.

  • Performs maintenance and make adjustments to the system as needed.

  • Keep machines and work area clean as well as restock your area with supplies as needed.

  • Help maintain and track all inventories of necessary supplies while working within established quality control procedures.

  • Interact with various departments such as Quality Assurance and Presort Production to help resolve production problems.

  • Other related duties assigned as needed.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 10:00pm to 7:00am

What you bring:

  • Proficient in the use of basic office equipment and applications specific to the function

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Verbal and written communication skills must be clear, tactful, and constructive

  • Data Entry skills

  • Must be able to stand, walk and bend while lifting to 40 pounds

Added bonus if you have:

  • 3 - 5 years of production or manufacturing experience

  • The aptitude to repair machines or electronics

Job Summary: Perform a wide variety of activities related to general equipment maintenance. General repair work such as carpentry, welding, plumbing, pipefitting, electrical millwright work, mechanical work on manual equipment or component of equipment. Other responsibilities include ordering parts for auxiliary equipment, documenting all the maintenance activities performed and PM's. Will support and help building maintenance group with painting, flooring and other small jobs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Identify the problem by reading schematics/prints, where available, and make necessary repairs on the equipment or system to ensure safe operation of the machine or system Troubleshoot and adjust or repair ancillary equipment like Blow overs, Bulb pullers, Heater tanks, conveyors, Tilt Tables and other misc. equipment Help team members when required, on Changeovers and setups on Auto Inspection System, blanking and forming operation, ink mixing as well as disposal of ink for printing machines per established procedure Perform necessary oil changes on machine gear boxes and dispose of used oil per established procedure Should be able to weld and fabricate small parts to complete necessary repair Help team members on installation, replacement or decommissioning of equipment Complete PM's on or before the due date and communicate to proper authority of job completion Order parts for repairs on equipment and make them stock item where necessary Participate in various company run programs like CI, Safety initiatives, Audits, investigations etc. Support projects and improvement initiatives from engineering, process, QA, Safety and operations group Document tasks performed for the day into the maintenance log, before the end of the shift Help Facilities group on daily tasks or project works, when required Should be able to utilize all available hand tools and special tools to complete the job Safeguard all corporate or plant confidential information Use good housekeeping practices to maintain clean, orderly and safe work area Upgrade technical skills by various educational workshops, on-site or off-site trainings supported by WEST Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures, instruction, and all safety rules Exhibits regular, reliable, punctual and predictable attendance Other duties as assigned Basic Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent 2-3 years of experience, out of which, minimum 1 years' experience is required in troubleshooting of simple non-automated mechanical equipment, facilities repairs etc. Good welding skill and thorough understanding of mechanical assemblies is a must Read and interpret simple mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic schematics Available for overtime, self-starter, a team player and should be able to work independently Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of CMMS and MS Office Some knowledge of utility maintenance like boiler, chillers and compressors Any other certification is a plus Travel Requirements: Must be able to travel up to 5% of the time Physical & Mental Requirements: Must be able to lift 35 lbs. continuously and up to 75 lbs. occasionally, with or without assistance West is an equal opportunity employer and we value diversity at our company.
