SUMMARY

This Print Center Supervisor provides leadership and first-line supervision of all phases of operations in the Copy Center including: staffing and training of employees, scheduling and assigning copy production work, communicating with customers regarding their copy production needs and implementing appropriate quality control standards. The Print Center Supervisor oversees the daily operation and staffing of the Copy Center.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate workflow within the team, including prioritizing jobs and delegating duties to associates

  • Provides volumes/billing inputs and detailed management monthly report to one up manager

  • Act as the liaison between management and client ensuring we are providing the correct solutions to the customers and utilizing the equipment to its maximum capabilities

  • Place service calls and follow-up with vendors

  • Operate digital computerized copy press, binder, collator, paper cutter, padding equipment, folder, and photocopier

  • Direct and coordinate pick-up and drop-off of all copy requests

  • Ensure service levels are clearly communicated, understood, and performed by on-site staff

  • Coordinate all work order requests for Copy Center; schedules and prioritizes work assignments among staff

  • Orders, inventories and maintains supplies

  • Provide all requested print / finishing / fulfillment services to all end-users as requested

  • Ensure SLA's are met consistently by scheduling jobs appropriately

  • Position may be required to perform site activities due to unanticipated volume increases, staffing coverage issues and/or special project needs requested by clients

  • Secure access of system via the Internet On-Line Viewing, Scheduling and Editing Intuitive user interface

  • Ensure adherence to safety & security procedures, compliant with OSHA regulations

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervises, training and directs the work of Copy Center employees

  • Responsible for conducting annual performance evaluations

  • Interview, hire staff for Copy Center

  • Performs all functions in Workday/ADP to include time and payroll authorization, training approval and vacation approval

  • Forecast printing volume and schedule employees accordingly

REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid driver's license and minimum levels of auto insurance coverage

QUALIFICATIONS (SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED)

  • Must be able to problem solve, conduct written and verbal communication, read and comprehend technical information

  • Knowledge of office equipment's, basic accounting, and spreadsheet software

  • Knowledge of all phases of printing, printers, and paper types

  • Excellent telephone communication skills

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Associate Degree or 4 years of commensurate field work experience

  • Experience working with various high volume copy and finishing devices

  • Experience working with Xerox equipment preferred

  • Minimum 2 years supervisory experience

LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • English (reading, writing, verbal)

MATH SKILLS

  • Intermediate business math required

OTHER INFORMATION:

Occasionally, some travel will be required to other print centers to ensure other smaller print centers are operating efficiently and accordingly.
