VIEW JOBS 9/30/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-12-29T00:00 About Landed: Join us on our mission to help essential professionals build financial security near the communities they serve. Landed supports educators on the path to homeownership by providing a personalized team that includes a partner agent and a Landed homebuying expert. We help families navigate all of their options for buying a home, including our own shared equity down payment program. Our team provides free homebuying education and guidance as well as competitive offer reviews for educators. Landed works with K-12, college, and university employees in expensive metro areas like San Francisco, Seattle, Denver, Los Angeles, San Diego, and Hawaiʻi. Helping great educators become homeowners keeps them in the classroom and improves student outcomes. That's why our down payment program is financially supported by organizations like the DRK Foundation and the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, who share our commitment to helping educators live near the communities they serve. Recent press coverage of our work can be found in The New York Times, Forbes, NPR, and The Wall Street Journal. You can learn more about us at www.landed.com. Our team has four core values that guide our decisions: Act with humility. Find what's fair. Prioritize the human. Own your growth. About the Role: About the Relationship Manager role Our team at Landed is growing! We're excited to be hiring a fantastic Relationship Manager to support our homebuyers in Orange County and San Diego County. You will join an energetic, driven group of humans on the Customer Experience team working together to ensure we provide a fantastic experience to every educator who's interested in learning more about Landed. This role reports to the Head of Customer Experience and is based on the ground in Orange County/San Diego County. Your primary objective is to build and maintain Landed's long-term revenue growth in the region you manage. You have a broad mandate in the region you manage and significant autonomy to find the strategies that work best for the communities you manage. This may involve building partnerships with new school districts and community organizations who can help Landed deliver on our mission, deepening partnerships with existing school districts and customers, or finding localized opportunities that get the word out about and build credibility of Landed with relevant audiences. You'll be joining a highly collaborative and cross-functional team that is passionate and focuses on finding win-win scenarios. Our work is deeply personal to our customers, the communities from which they come, and to us – we want humans driving every part of the business that deepens our company's roots in the places where we operate. It is an ideal role for a mission-oriented, driven relationship builder who is energized by developing genuine connections with a diverse group of community leaders, organizations, businesses, and educators, ensuring Landed thrives as a trusted actor which provides meaningful, long-term value to the communities we serve. The result of this work: significantly more educators on a path towards financial security, allowing them to commit to the profession and communities they love. As a Relationship Manager, you will: * Grow local impact and brand awareness to reach new potential homebuyers in your regions by leveraging customer referrals and maintaining/growing local marketing partnerships. You'll build champions of Landed and you know how to message the mission, purpose, and value of Landed effectively. * Leverage and deepen our existing partnerships with employers and other organizations. Identify local employers, starting with school districts and colleges/universities, who believe Landed could be a benefit for their staff, and work with the New Partnerships team to launch new partnerships with these employers. Execute regular local Landed informational sessions at schools and other community engagement events – including managing all logistics: event scheduling, setup, presentation, and post-event data management. Maintain a high degree of confidence in Landed with existing local partner employers, and enable them to continue to share news about Landed and Landed's products in order to drive awareness amongst our target customer base. * Qualify potential homebuyers and nurture relationships with educators through leading 20+ calls (or texts, or emails, or video chats, etc), and converting customers per week. Prioritize genuinely understanding who our customers are, what their goals are, and how our products/services may be able to help them achieve their goals. At Landed, we focus on what's best for each individual buyer -- even when the best option may not result in revenue for Landed. We believe that the best way to build a sustainable and customer-focused organization is by doing the right thing for customers, every time. * Deliver a consistent, high quality customer experience to all current and potential Landed customers. Bring genuine curiosity, positivity, and a resourceful, problem-solving orientation to everybody's unique situations. Focus on providing clear and helpful information to empower customers to what's right for them. Do the hard work to be transparent and explain the rationale behind decisions. * Manage and engage a pipeline of hundreds of customers in your region. Organize, analyze and prioritize who to engage using data. You're constantly thinking about the individual customers you're working with, and what information or resource can best help them. Collaborate closely with Homebuying Programs Leads to ensure customers are having a stellar experience through every stage of their homebuying process. Once homebuyers become homeowners, you proactively find ways to support them further, which may include letting them know about other opportunities and products at Landed. You will bring the following strengths to the role: * Relationship Management. Success in this role hinges upon the ability to build and manage authentic, trusting working relationships. You motivate others to action through 1:1 relationships with diverse stakeholders. You're a fantastic and empathetic listener, who brings an orientation toward partnership and finding ways to add value to all your relationships. Most importantly, you'll establish and grow meaningful connections with our homebuyers. You'll build trust and manage sometimes tricky situations that inevitably come up with calm, positivity and deep care for the other humans in the interaction. * Problem Solving Orientation. You love to solve problems, and are strategic in your approach. You're skilled at getting to the bottom of an issue, and resourceful in resolving it efficiently -- especially when a customer is depending on you. You embrace using quantitative and qualitative customer data to improve outcomes for customers. You're comfortable in ambiguity and in situations that don't necessarily have a clear answer. You excel at finding the simplest solution that not only gets the job done, but surprises and delights. You're always looking for ways for Landed to be doing things better. * Project Management: You are able to drive results in multiple categories of work simultaneously, with diverse stakeholders. You're energized by wearing different hats and juggling between priorities. * Communication and Storytelling. Working with a diverse group of stakeholders, you're a natural connector.
