This transformational role requires demonstrable experience of leading successful large-scale Voice, Contact Center, Skype deployments including the Financials/Support/Vendor Management components. Essential Responsibilities: We are seeking an experienced individual with in-depth expertise in leading large Unified Communications/Voice/Contact Center deployments to join our UC team working on a highly visible multi-generation Unified Communication program implementation program in support of multiple GE businesses. n this role, you will: * Be focused on execution of strategic infrastructure projects for multiple GE business. * Serves as the Technical Project Manager - requires technical experience in all layers of the tech-stack * Change Agent for infrastructure optimization activities – owns idea generation, change acceleration process (CAP), influencing and project execution * Ability to evaluate new and emerging technologies that will transform technology usage within our business environment. * Interface directly with functional leadership, key stakeholders, and corporate teams working as a business partner to evaluate, simplify, and improve business processes. This includes providing clear plans, program deck status and leadership communication * Manage budgets and contracts associated with projects * Leads project team resources to support and deliver solutions relating to the projects * Ensure conformance to GE infrastructure technology standards and best practices * Identifies critical path decisions, makes recommendations, and influences business leaders to maximize project payback * Interact with customers and product managers to understand customer needs and timelines * Apply Waterfall and Agile principles to translate unstructured or ambiguous work requests into actionable user stories and work units through problem decomposition and planning * Demonstrate practical experience in Project Management methodologies to execution projects wing-to-wing. * Demonstrate increasing understanding of product and project management * Show increasing understanding of the technology stack and its impact on the final product * Demonstrate awareness of Industrial trends and domain expertise * Demonstrate ability to influence customers and product managers through persuasion and influencing * Pre-project planning and preparation, including construction of the key project charter components (as captured above) * Securing the necessary project and business resources * Document project risks and develop mitigation plans with clear ownership. Monitor execution of mitigation plans. * Project kick-off preparation and execution * Preparation of detailed task planning for all project phases * Ensure that documentation standards are maintained * Drive adherence to the deign blueprint, ensuring that gaps are identified, documented, solution identified and reviewed for approval decision where necessary * Drive engagement with the numerous external project teams and contributing groups, examples include network team, voice team, operations, internal billing, sourcing team * Preparation and communication of accurate status reporting. Track progress of all contributing teams to ensure the plan is being fully supported and adhered to * Establish issue tracking and reporting process, ensuring that issues are addressed in a timely manner. Overall ownership for issues management and closure. * Ensure that key testing phases are well prepared and planned. Secure all necessary resources and facilities to ensure that the testing phases are successful. * Identify business training needs and prepare approach to deliver the appropriate training * Engage with the support/run team in a timely fashion to ensure that that group are well prepared to take on the support responsibility following go-live. * Construct the detailed cut-over planning required to ensure a seamless transition onto the new system/platform/process. Monitor progress against plan to ensure timely tasks execution * Execute a controlled project closure, including lessons learned and transition of any legacy items. Qualifications/Requirements: Basic Qualifications * Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Sciences, MIS, Engineering or similar discipline. * A minimum of 8 years of professional experience Eligibility Requirements: * Must be willing to travel (up to 10 – 15%) * Must be willing to work out of an office located in Miami, Florida USA * Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job Desired Characteristics: Experience with project managing UC deployments; Demonstrable expertise with utilising various project management methodologies, including Prince/PMP, Agile and traditional waterfall approaches Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) Ability to build relationships and credibility Ability to influence and make recommendations to all levels Ability to work well in a dynamic fast paced team environment Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time Define execution plan and approach based on project scope, expected timeline and available budget/resources Work with globally located technical team often comprising of members of separate organizations to coordinate day-to-day execution as per outlined plan Ensure pre-defined project management processes and practices are followed. Drive simplification and improvement as necessary Support execution team with resolution of roadblocks and interdependencies. Partner with technical and functional teams external to the project to ensure their tasks are completed as required Manage project risks, scope changes and other non-standard events throughout the life of the project Manage stakeholder communication and progress reporting Ensure quality of deliverables is verified and matching stakeholder expectations Track project outcomes realization and customer satisfaction levels through established metrics against service level.
