We are currently seeking a Principle Production Support Electrical Engineer to join the Radar Receiver Exciter Integrated Product Team in Tewksbury, MA. This team designs, develops, integrates, and tests the Radar Receiver Exciter hardware for the combat proven RMD integrated air and missile defense systems.

The Receiver, Exciter, and Signal Processing (RESP) Department is the focal point for receiver, exciter, beam steering, and signal processing technology in the RMD division. The department is responsible for the design, development, integration, support to production builds, and lifecycle support of RMD products.

Overview

As a Principle Production Support Electrical Engineer, you will chair the Configuration Control Board (CCB) and Change Investigation Board (CIB) in accordance with Raytheon Standard Practices; participate/lead in Integrated Product Team (IPT) & Cross Business Team (CBT) meetings. This Engineer will lead Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, and Quality in the resolution of issues in the Patriot RADAR REX with emphasis on identifying and managing priorities to stay ahead of impact to production sustainment and deliveries.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and manage weekly agendas for CIB and CCB meetings aligned to support PATRIOT REX production deliveries

  • Review and approve drawings, specification documents

  • Obsolescence support, including the development of mitigation plans

  • Interface with other engineering disciplines, non-technical disciplines, and suppliers to develop solutions and resolve technical or delivery challenges

Required Skills

  • 8+ years of related experience in the field of engineering or related technical disciplines

  • Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Security Clearance

  • Experience interfacing with suppliers

  • Experience in both development and engineering production support

  • Experience in Radar Receiver/Exciter integration, test, data reduction, and analysis of systems and sub-systems

  • Experience in the test and troubleshoot of RF, analog, or mixed signal circuits and systems in both a factory and lab setting

  • Excellent communication, technical writing, oral presentation, and interpersonal skills

  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date

Required Education (including Major)

  • B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field

  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously as well as within a team/collaborative environment

  • Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities

  • Prior experience supporting Defense Radar Receiver and Exciter Design transition to production

We are looking for candidates to provide hardware integration and test support for existing radar systems. The Senior Hardware System Integrator Electrical Engineer will be expected to perform the following: * Sub-System design verification testing * Utilization of RF based test equipment (Signal Generators, Spectrum Analyzers, Logic Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, etc.) to resolve hardware system issues on various production lines * Assist in the definition and development of verification and test plans * Test and troubleshooting of RF sub-systems * Interface with supply chain and suppliers to resolve production issues * Partnering in the development of test equipment and establishment of test requirements and procedures * Leadership of root cause and corrective action investigations and presentation of findings to the integrated product team Required Skills: * Minimum 6 years of experience supporting production and/or Test of electrical sub-systems and Radar systems * Experience with testing and troubleshooting RF and Microwave component/subsystem such as up-converters, down converters, power amplifiers, waveform generators, RF modulators, and limiters * Proven experience troubleshooting and performing failure analysis of circuits with demonstrated knowledge of associated measurement equipment. * Ability to understand and interpret Acceptance Test Requirements * Strong skills and experience performing analysis of technical data * Experience as a radar systems engineer or radar system integrator * Strong communication skills including report writing and presentations * U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within one year of start date. Required Education * Bachelor's degree in an engineering or scientific discipline. Advance degree desirable.
