Principle Industrial Manufacturing Engineer - Greater Pittsburgh area
Qualified candidate will support manufacturing design and scale up over multiple phases of project.
Equipment Commissioning: manufacturing and equipment engineers to support current manufacturing equipment install, commissioning and ramp up at the project site.
Design & FAT: manufacturing engineers to support the design & FAT planning & execution of our first high volume manufacturing line.
Next Generation Product Concept: manufacturing engineers to support the concept, RFPs and high-volume manufacturing systems of the next generation product.
Engineers will be responsible to either prepare or review the following and provide to our client authorized representives.
Equipment commissioning reports and approval documentation.
Planning and process documentation for operations.
Safety and quality documentation.
Line and equipment design (specify line/equipment depending on scope).
FAT plan and execution for assigned lines/equipment.
Technical specifications/requirements for required equipment and services bids and technical review of supplier proposals.
Planning and scheduling for vendor engagement and equipment integration.
Industrial studies (elaborate depending on scope).
Develop & execute equipment installation schedules, collaborating with necessary our Clients teams to align on execution.
Engineering Skill/Experience Requirements
4+ years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or production environment, ideally in NPI or scale-up.
Hands on experience with medium to large equipment and desire to roll up your sleeves and fill the gaps where necessary.
Comfort using statistical methods for making process development decisions (using JMP or Minitab or equivalent).
Experience owning manufacturing processes and showing accountability for their quality, throughput, yield, and overall success.
Experience authoring process, safety, and quality documentation for best-in-class practices.
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, materials science, mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or equivalent.
