In this role, you'll be involved in architecting, designing and implementing data warehouse solutions. You'll be a member of a small team of programmers working directly with healthcare data analysts. We're automating processes and building a Data Warehouse containing HER and claims data, as well as multiple data products we generate on different cadences.
Design data warehouse processes
Collaborate with analytics and other teams to determine how current processing methods can be optimized, scaled, and improved
Provide informed feedback for database design and data model decisions
Document all database objects, technical procedures, test plans and other elements.
Be a good team player and comfortable working in a team environment, delivering timing-critical high-quality deliverables
Mentor other team members
Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Statistics or any discipline involving data analysis and programming or equivalent experience
10 years of strong database programming experience (Oracle, SQL Server)
2 years of data warehousing experience
Strong written and verbal communication
Exposure to Hadoop or other NoSQL databases
Healthcare/life science experience
Experience with clinical and/or claims data
Understanding healthcare industry terminology and coding (e.g. NDC11, ICD9/ ICD10, HCPCS, CPT, LOINC)
